I'm off the Herm bandwagon. I was a big believer and was holding hope for 2020 season but this team as I said 2 weeks ago has a huge culture issue. The defense and O-Line makes Last Chance U players look like Harvard grads with our football IQ. Not to mention the secondary is the worst secondary I've ever seen. Add on the lack of effort and the way the D quit in the 4th quarter and I'm done. Need a regime change, on to the next one. What a f'n joke! Charmin needs to sponsor us, cause there's not a softer team in the US...

Now that my blood pressure ha stabilized.....

As I watched our defensive performance today, it looked familiar. I remember now I had seen it before, it looks just like Rutgers defense.

Yurich B+ His offense scored more than enough to win the game.

Ash F- I award Ash the “Rout 66” award for his defense.

In order to work on a style, do you not have to first know HOW to tackle? This brought back memories of the Manny _iaz days...

This is the same coaching staff that were all geniuses after UTEP right? Or at least to the majority here.

I have been watching Texas game day on LHN. They probably have played every scoring play about 10 times. Well maybe not 10 but lots.

Eagles was good. That onsides recovery was critical. We needed all of Dicker’s points, too.

So all good points. I have slightly different view but I agree, Lubbock is just one of those places. I am glad the Horns won. I assure you TT fans are butt hurt and saying things like "once again Texas pulls it outta their a$$. Just saying I like our side of the equation.
Even Vince had a few bad games and I would take this one game and move on. we won. But...

Our tackling was Bad in the second half. Defense was quick to the ball but hit rather than wrap up. UGH. The Tech WR were simply taller and jumped higher than our coverage, in part because our pass rush sucked. Should have blitzed a lot more. Too much time.

Sam was calm even when I was having a heart attack.

Ok, and I agree too many penalties against us. Way too many. But there were many instances of holding, face mask and stepping out of bounds, near the ball by Tech that were not called. The TT touchdown where the WR stepped out was called by the TV crew but not overturned. In addition, the same play there was a blatant hold near the same ball. Horns should have done better but there were numerous TT face masks that were near the ball and not called. What looked like poor officiating to me was a major reason I did not think we had a chance when tt went up by 15 w 3 mins left. I am sure some of the team or coaches may have or could have had similar ???

But then Sam took over, and the offense, and the kickers. That was the most beautiful onside kick I HAVE EVER SEEN.

    Thank you Longhorns.

Honorable mention, thank you KSU and The Pirate. I am truly gruntled.

Hiring ash was a mistake. He doesn't know what it takes to defend in the big 12. Tech is a bottom end offense.

How many times have you thought this in a disappointing game and it works as planned: score TD, recover onside kick, score TD, play for 2. Didn’t happen against LSU last year but it did this year!

    Wow game for sure.....

Hey, I witnessed in person @ UT vs . Okie Lite 2004. Right before the half pokes score to go up 35-7.... TONS of UT fans started leaving. My son and I witnessed a miracle comeback by VY & co. to win 56-35.

I think today was a more amazing comeback. Down 56-41 with 3:13 left. Horns score 7 quickly, get an onside kick and score 8 to tie it up with 40 sec. left. Go on to get 7 more in OT and hang on to win.

I did not give up in 2004 with 30 min. left and VY in control. This game, I honestly gave up in my mind at 3:13 down by 15.

MIRACLE WIN vs. tech today .... credit many and all that contributed to the win but mostly Sam IMO....

We will never run with the big dogs until we have an offensive line that can block.
