He just mentioned splintering to Craig Way. He repeated it and said that the team needs to come together and that splintering helps no one.

As if I needed confirmation that both the short-term and long-term future of this program is in serious disarray.

They have splintered themselves from the fans and is it a shock that they treat each other any different than they treat the fans.

If there were a coach here that instead of fostering that kicked asses because it, things might be different. (cue Don Meredith about 'ifs')

I heard Herman say in his PC that the team was disappointed but still together. When the head coach and the player leading the team see the same thing different ways, the team is done.

And how bad does the rest of the season look? ISU is beating Tech 31-15
and TCU has scored a grand total of 7 against KSU going into the 4th.

and there is the answer. If you want to play on the level Texas wants to play on, hire a coach who has been successful on that level. Successful coaches at the Group of 5 level (or lower) get eaten up by the upper level Power 5 competition.

Yeah, when I saw a segment on LHN when Strong said players could come to his house and lay on the couch and watch TV, I knew he was a pretender. All the discipline talk and Moorer and "The Pit" was all BS. Still is. Herman and his kissing. What a pansy.

I wonder what @Htown77 had to say about what would happen back on June 13:

    Eagles Requesting Campus Changes

We saw what happened at Missouri. When some of the players ignorantly and wrongly went after the "Eyes of Texas", it fractured the team and the season was done. Instead of putting a stop to it, Herman lost control. Herman should be fired today. All the ignorant troublemakers should be kicked off the team.

For those siding with the stupidity of the players, how is that working out for you?

Also, North Carolina won today. 7 years later, I wonder if I was right when I argued quite forcefully we should keep Mack Brown in 2013 or otherwise go back into the wilderness.... I just did not know the wilderness would bring us a coach as bad as Herman who would divide the players and fans and attack the fans and school traditions themselves.

Charlie Strong may have had the worst on the field results of any UT coach, but the arrogant ***hole douchebag Tom Herman is by far the worst coach in the Texas Football history when looked at holistically.

Oh, and football-wise, anyone could seeing bringing in his b***-buddy Ash from Rutgers to run the defense was a terrible idea.

He said we need a coach who isn't a panty waist and just talks a good game about being tough.

Excellent post, although I would have preferred to leave Mack out of the discussion.

I agree that Herman lost the team in the summer but frankly, he has never demonstrated the ability at Texas to get the job done, aside from a couple of bowl games. His indiscretion in the summer sealed his fate. Even so, I am surprised by the ineptitude of this team, and his inability to coach it.

The decision for CDC seems pretty clear. It’s just a matter of time.

Yep, my little league coaches in Fort Worth in the 70s were tougher than these "coaches" at Texas.

This. Herman lost when he allowed Caden Sterns to take the whole program hostage to Critical Race Theory. He broke my desire to follow this team. I didn't watch the TX/OU today because I knew they would play sloppy and lose. Even during the Mack losing streak I always got ready for OU. Now. I'm done.

I would leave him out if he was retired. However, it is frustrating to see where we are year 7 without Mack Brown and where North Carolina is year 2 with Mack Brown. His winning again is a weekly reminder...

Which is pretty bad with 4 *** drillings Texas took under mack's tenure. I, too, always tuned in. Not now. TH and this "team" are a bunch of candy asses.

6-4. Lose another two. But the offense can score a lot of points.

unless Sam just decides he doesn’t like the other players enough to try to win the game by himself each week and so puts in only 100% effort instead of 125%

Totally agree. This was the first time since 1962 or 1963 that I didn’t watch one down.
