Not if he has any humility or self awareness he won’t.
Although he’s too prideful and stubborn to say it most likely, Mack Brown learned on the job at Texas.
We all watched him work through, for better or worse, his fear and timid tendencies en route to becoming a championship caliber coach....and is he? He would say things that tried to make it seem like he had ownership of what he was doing .. “When you’re the coach at Texas you....” but the simple fact of the matter is he always struck me as a man who was scared shitless and was making it up as he went along with arrogance. How many times did he have to ‘reinvigorate’ himself at Texas? Is that even in the vocabulary of consistently winning professional coaches? To me it just seems like that’s who they are and they have a system and they win.
with a couple of years off, A chance to reinvigorate himself for the third or fourth time I forget, not exactly a murderers row of a schedule, combined with the lowered expectations at a school like UNC.... Mack is like a gopher in soft dirt right now. UNC is over ranked...let’s see what happens as the season goes on but more importantly let’s see what happens when the 3 to 5 year grind starts to hit Mack. I will credit him with a great initial turnaround but he is still a weekend parent at this point.
