Campbell - he has proven he can do above average with below average recruits. Big stage? He ain't been there

Leach - Love the guy, but I need a coach not a comedian

    Kingsbury - ask Baker Mayfield

Malzahn - there is no Waffle House near by, and oh the **** storm if CDC hires a Charismatic Baptist. First time Kristi flies "home" to be on Ronnie Floyd's TV show or up in the pulpit with him, the libtard professors will be jumping off the Tower

Kyle Shanahan - Why would he leave the Niners?

Cristobal - what has he done to deserve consideration?

Dan Mullen - What has he done? Taken a perineal 4-8 and miraculously turned them into 8-4?

Lane - this is football not Barnum & Bailey. Watching this board when he brought his OC would be a riot

Urban Myth - slimeball, cheats his *** off, liar, all around low rent piece of ****, BUT he is the only one on the list that has done it not once but twice. Just get a criminal psychiatrist to interview the recruits.

    An "NC" coach you say...?

I think we've already had the coach at the U of NC. He's gotta be laughing at us now.

He’s only laughing because Oklahoma is not on his schedule every year.

Not if he has any humility or self awareness he won’t.

Although he’s too prideful and stubborn to say it most likely, Mack Brown learned on the job at Texas.

We all watched him work through, for better or worse, his fear and timid tendencies en route to becoming a championship caliber coach....and is he? He would say things that tried to make it seem like he had ownership of what he was doing .. “When you’re the coach at Texas you....” but the simple fact of the matter is he always struck me as a man who was scared shitless and was making it up as he went along with arrogance. How many times did he have to ‘reinvigorate’ himself at Texas? Is that even in the vocabulary of consistently winning professional coaches? To me it just seems like that’s who they are and they have a system and they win.

with a couple of years off, A chance to reinvigorate himself for the third or fourth time I forget, not exactly a murderers row of a schedule, combined with the lowered expectations at a school like UNC.... Mack is like a gopher in soft dirt right now. UNC is over ranked...let’s see what happens as the season goes on but more importantly let’s see what happens when the 3 to 5 year grind starts to hit Mack. I will credit him with a great initial turnaround but he is still a weekend parent at this point.

Wow kinda harsh there El Sapo. I wish him well but really all I care about now are the Horns and wish I believed they could get it together but like a cancer I don’t believe it can happen without some serious surgery.

And FSU is horrible. Clemson and Miami will insure a whopping most years and ND will drum them every third year

I think he'll take Miami this year.

Clemson is on another level, but I would never count Mack out.

If you were a millionaire booster would you contribute one penny to this athletic program right now to pay off the money owed to Herman? I damn sure wouldn't. These student athletes are being brainwashed by professor's to hate and are hiding behind the umbrella of equality and social justice. CDC and Tom Herman bought into this trash and let this toxic culture spread like cancer and it may be years before it recovers. So boosters, spend your money elsewhere where you are appreciated.

It is. I am. My dislike for Mack Brown is pretty well known on the board but I've already said all that before and there's no reason to rehash. The game had passed Mack by and had we kept him, 8-5 or 9-4 was going to be our new standard. He needed the time away and reflection to become re-re-reinvigorated for the UNC job.

2 guys I haven't seen mentioned are Jeremy Pruitt and Billy Napier. I might be buying in too deep into the Saban coaching tree but Pruitt came into a total culster- F at the fake UT. I would argue a situation worse than ours and appears to have turned them around in a hurry. And Napier has a win this year over the 1st place team in our conference. (I know they had a 3 pt loss last night to Coastal Carolina). I am not sure that Napier is ready for the big stage and after Herman I am not sure we are going to take another shot at an up and comer from a Group of Five school.

    6721,

The problem is they have to jump off the north side, which is the smallest area to sell tickets and draw a crowd. The popcorn and beer needs to be a concession (probably in the Physics Bldg parking lot). WE also need to arrange video rights..

Would it be tacky to announce each before he jumps? What about judges to rate the fall, flips, twists, etc?

Sounds like you have this pretty well worked out, Sabre. Could you get Craig Way to do call the event?

Good thought. Wally Pryor would have been perfect, but Way will do, Jeff Ward as a backup.

Is Arley Duff still alive or Sammy Allred?

Interesting you should mention Wally Pryor. He was my first thought as well. I find myself thinking about a long line of deceased Longhorns who must surely be tormented by this absurd BS.

    Wally Pryor
    Tommy Nobis
    T Jones

I could go on, but you get the drift. Could we maybe get Studdard and Seidlien to come straighten out these poor disadvantaged and exploited children?

David Thomas and Studdard were the real enforcers for VY, Brian Millard was a real badass about things he didn't like. That thud you just heard may have been Marty Akins' Rolex hitting the table as he headed for the door before Pam could stop him.

Can you imagine how many diapers would have to be changed if Nobis, Millard, Studdard and Thomas all showed up in the Longhorn locker room?
