Texas loses pledge from 2022 four-star wide receiver Phaizon Wilson | Hookem.com And at the bottom of this article 'Four-star cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau remains Texas’ only remaining commitment in the 2022 cycle. The Port Arthur Memorial product did take to Twitter to say he’ll be reevaluating his decision to pick the Longhorns'
Herman is making us the laughing stock of Texas. Players are not committed to him and recruits are not committed to the ****** environment he has over the program. Being 17th in the country is not good enough! We should be top 5 at the very least...
It's one foot on the dock and one on the boat in terms of the environment. Do they want more of what transpired or less? Winning is its own silo. Development is its own silo. I think we know that after four years, winning and development are far below the self-image of the university. It's decision time. SEC or Stanford/Notre Dame. Where does this program exist?
I still think the SEC would be a huge mistake for this school. No way they'd compete at this time. And even if UM were to come here, how long would it take a staff like he'd bring to make this school even competitive at the SEC West level? Culturally it'd never be a fit.
I'm not necessarily advocating a switch to the SEC. Only in our approach to winning. Do we stick with the self-image of an elite academic school with high moral standards or is this football program in it to win and play to win.
Definitely not arguing your point here, but I wish for both. I don't understand why a top academic institution can't have quality, competitive athletics. I'd be thrilled to know that the U.S. News and World Report ranked UT in the top national universities each year. Just as I'd be thrilled that the Associated Press ranked this football program in the top ten year in, year out.
UM's two coordinators are already at Texas, and Texas will have the talent to win the Big XII next year (even after UM runs off the malcontents).
I agree that we should be able to field a character filled competitive football team. But we're losing recruits for some reason. Is it coaching failures? Is it the other stuff? These recruits purportedly are academically UT quality so our angst is not losing a parolee but instead losing elite all around people. What is the problem?

My bama buddy warned me last night about UM and the trail he has left behind him. I replied at this point I would damn near dig Aaron H out of the grave if he could come here and help us win. Hate that this whole mess has turned me to this point but we have a dumpster fire in Austin right now.
ESPN makes fun of us weekly.... Listen to some national sports radio, we are the laughing stock of college football.
Oh, they're having a blast. Bless their little pea-brains. Most of the topics on the Old Rivalries page are about this. MARK IT DOWN | TexAgs Keep Tom Herman | TexAgs Decommitttttttt!! | TexAgs
Absolutely. The players now run this team. They know and see that Tom is cooked. The fact that CDC is setting back and watching him burn makes it more obvious.
Class of 21 is more important in terms of what’s happening, as they are actually going to have to commit soon. Class of 22 can come and go as they please for another year.
Heck we cant even come in 4th in the big 12. Why in the world would we want to go to the SEC? We would be lucky to beat vanderbilt will this crew.
Note to self- don’t let 18-20 year old entitled boys dictate how to run things. Chaos ensues while they drift off to frat parties leaving you holding the bag.
This isn’t rocket science. When you can’t prepare a team... When you fail to teach fundamentals... When your team has no discipline on the field... When you have no sense of clock management... When you are arrogant and project a know-it-all attitude coupled with disappointing results... When your phoniness — love & kisses — raises red flags for parents whose sons are shopping programs... When you are frequently out-coached by teams with less talent... When you allow the inmates to run the asylum. And... When you throw Longhorn Nation under the bus. You cannot survive. And he won’t.
