Wonder how long it will take him to decommit from tOSU when Meyer is named our new HC?

When a big name coach leaves, the program tends to have 1 year where the players that played under that coach retain coaching from that coach. After that, most coaches fail, if they're not a great coach themselves. One notable exception has been Lincoln Riley.

But look at our defense when it went from Muschamp to Diaz. Diaz enjoyed the coaching of Muschamp before him, but the very next year, it was downhill. Some of that was an extra year of game tape, but a lot of that is on Muschamp leaving.

Ryan Day is enjoying Fields in year 2, but he's probably gone after this year. We'll see what happens next year, or even in the latter half of this year.

Did we really want Ewers?? Really?? I'm thinking about now that his skinny forearms wouldn't have cut it on Herman's Horns anyway.

I will say that we have good debth anyway at QB and one of them may be a superstar one day. And it's no guarantee that Ewers will be a superstar. So we will be fine. I hate losing the top offensive linemen more than I do Ewers.

The problem is we’re losing top offensive linemen AND the top QB. Recruiting players is hard. Retaining them is harder.

Recruiting players is really, really, hard. Especially ones that grew up wearing burnt orange and it was their lifelong dream to play at the 40 Acres.... Really, Really, Really, hard to win those.

This is the reason Herman has got to go. We will keep losing top recruits and we will keep on having four or five losses each season. Boom
Get Meyer while we can. He will bring in top recruits and a better record.

Ewers will be having tough competition at tOSU. Grass is always greener on the other side. He should have taken more time in committing.

Believe we will be ok at qb but sure need the right components with him of any other qb!

This fan base is pretty wicked sometimes and recruits / parents / coaches are well aware of what is being said. How many recruits are turned off by attitudes and comments?

What was it that Herman said that supposedly prompted Ewers to de-committ?

Ryan Perriloux- I’m not comparing him to Ryan, but who knows?
People wanted Mack’s head and that turned out well

At the rate things are going, wait 'til he has to try to retain the fans. Empty seats and low viewership are a coaches worst nightmare.

Ewers probably wanted to go to a place with a better o-line.

200 Texas-tOSU. After the game, a bunch of us walking back to the Texas bar. Car full of tOSU coeds pulls up at a corner. Opens the windows and yells at the Texas women in the group, "******* whores!!!"

    Class acts, them.
