I've been mixing it up with many here after a short-lived return to the board. Though I do question some of y'alls sanity, I appreciate the opportunity that @Dionysus gives us all to have this forum. I also appreciate the attempts to help me understand your insight. Those that post their own facts to explain their position are especially appreciated, even if my time is spent trying to shoot it down. Those moment force me to research, to ask "are my beliefs correct?" and yet change them if the information I find presents new data that requires me to shift my viewpoints. Happy Thanksgiving to each of you. I do hope each of you can somehow have a moment to forget 2020 and enjoy this holiday in your own way. Though T-day isn't quite like the 4th of July, it is a day in which we all give thanks to each other, this country and the diversity of values that still makes this the greatest country on earth. I don't listen as much as I should. I'm working to improve that. This Ted Talk was especially interesting in light of all the perspectives shared on West Mall. To me, it crystallizes a bit that the board has gravitated towards the "soldiers mindset". Any chance we can all practice the "scouts mindset" will help us understand each other better.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. Despite all the weirdness of 2020 I suspect many of us here still have much to be grateful for. For me it is family, health, work, and all the little ordinary moments that make a life.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. We have much to thank God for, even in the face of COVID-19. He will get us through this pandemic. When you pause to thank God for all his blessings, be sure to add a prayer for the men and women in the armed services defending us throughout the world.
