There is more than just wins and losses on the field and upset fans. The stadium renovations have to be paid for, empty boxes are as big a problem as empty seats. Revenues are down this year due to reduced seating at the stadium for games. So the budget planned for 2020 took a hit. Add, the poor performances and missing out on the college playoffs...again...and that's a major problem. Included in that is the keep or discharge Herman. In four seasons, for the regular season, TH has posted 6, 9, 7 and so far this year 5 win seasons. He's done well in Bowl games, and that's good, but most fans want a Conference Championship and a shot at the Playoffs. Mack played for the '09 season NC, but lost, then had 4 mediocre seasons including 1 sub .500 finish in 2010. Macks last 4 years posted wins of 5, 7, 8 and 8. He retired, but was about to be shown the door. Keeping TH another season or 2 or 3, doesn't make since. Mack won at leas 2 conference titles and 1 national title. His first four year regular season record were 8, 9, 9 and 10 wins. His team was all together and not wanting to opt out of the last few games of a season. Mack was personable, anyone could go visit with him. Tom isn't and he blames the players when he points out errors and ultimately they, not him, are responsible of a loss. Mack wanted to correct errors and took responsibility saying "That's on me and we have to do a better job of coaching." As far as bowl games, Tom has a perfect win record in three bowl games, I'll definitely give him that. He knocked off Georgia and Utah convincingly as well as Missouri. But as of late, he can't beat the teams he should like TCU and some others. So, there's a meeting coming up Monday and we'll see what happens. If the players want to opt out, so be it, but they should also pack up and leave now. And I don't think that it's all the "racist" statues and "The Eyes" are the real problem, but are merely a convenient excuse. End of Rant.
