Thrust into the game yesterday due to injury. Stat line was not good despite the 6 of 10. Too many screens for no gain or a loss.

Hopefully, with a week to get reps with the first team and facing a woeful Seattle defense, he can put up a good stat line this week...

Giants QB Jones likely to miss time, source says

Looks like he'll probably play another game or two.

There was a thread on this subject already on this board with 15-16 posts on it, not sure why it was deleted. Giants didn't really ask Colt to take any risks, just had him handoff and throw short, safe ones. He did complete the pass that would have sealed the game (run/pass option on a rollout on 3rd and 4) but the back side guard was called for holding.

They'll have to open up the offense for him more to succeed against anyone with a pulse. Against Burrow-less Cincy, with a lead, it made sense to go conservative.

It was deleted? Probably my fault for bringing up Chris Simms. Forgot about the "no politics" policy....

It's not around any more, for whatever reason. I looked through my "recent posts" and the thread no longer exists since the ones I made there don't even show up now.

Colt McCoy will be getting the start against Seattle this coming week. He'll be facing a defense in a bit of a resurgence since Jamal Adams returned from IR and they traded for Carlos Dunlap. They have 19 sacks in last 4 games. Of course, statistically they are the worst pass defense in the history of the NFL.
