Another church case made it way to the SCOTUS

The application for injunctive relief, presented to Justice
Kagan and by her referred to the Court, is treated as a petition for
a writ of certiorari before judgment, and the petition is granted.
The September 2 order of the United States District Court for the
Central District of California is vacated, and the case is remanded
to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit with
instructions to remand to the District Court for further
consideration in light of Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn v.
    Cuomo, 592 U. S. ___ (2020).

It's is over 4 years later and I am still amazed that some of you (you know who you are) were willing to let Hilary F'n Clinton have these nominations!

Four years later and I am pleasantly surprised that the Bone Spur disabled president made two superlative picks from Scalia’s wishlist. IMO this is about the only thing he got perfect

I share your horror at the thought about what the wicked witch would have wished.

Nope, no gravy training. Can't take shots constantly at a president then jump on the band wagon for the things you like.

The draft dodger aspect of Presidential politics died with Clinton. If an actual draft dodger who gamed the ROTC system to avoid an imminent draft gets elected twice over two war hero's, that aspect is finished once and for all.

Because we've turned politics into sports fandom. To some giving a politician credit when he does good things and criticizing him when he does bad things is like cheering for your football team when they're winning and blowing them off when they're losing. It's disloyal.

    Blind pigs, acorns , etc

I read a book by Garner about his friendship with Scalia and he talked about who Scalia wanted to contribute to a presentation and Gorsuch and Kavanaugh were at the top of the list. So two acorns for our Bone spurred Blind hog president.

Well done, sir. Now go away. We have elected ourselves another blind hog

for you purists, I have been a season ticket holder for 35 years or more but still think the Sooners have a good school, a superb program and never chant that OU Sucks.

Yeah, if anything, I think the GOP should be thrilled that Trump accomplished (or semi-accomplished) some key ingredients from the greatest hits of what got him elected in the first place. Conservative judges, "on-net" foreign policy, border stuff, etc. I don't see any harm in praising him for that stuff and then kicking him to the curb.

Wonder if it is important to control who nominates Justices?

I can understand pretty defensible reasons to include illegal aliens and not to include them. What I can't understand is why this isn't very clearly established in the law. It's astounding that the President would have this degree of discretion on something that major.
