Yes. Exactly. He proved he knows NOTHING about UT, when supposedly he was all Mack Brown-apprenticed. That's why I want him gone. He makes me sick. He is not as bad a coach as the rest of this thread assumes. He's good in a lot of ways. I want him gone.
I didn't watch the game.....was at a high school playoff game. I haven't read the game thread or seen highlights either. While driving home I asked Mrs LC (I love her so) to look up the final score. When she told me, I was kinda upset. I wasn't hoping for a loss but I just shook my head and thought.... Really Tom, now you finally decide to go off? Or you just coaching for your job? Anyway, I'm glad Sam and the boys took out the Cats.
Every PSU fan would help Franklin pack and pay for his flight if UT would take him. He is not well liked at PSU. No a culture changer or leader - not for UT
Franklin isn't an option, he's owed like 40 million or something with his new contract. That's just his agent leaking his name trying to get people to think he's in demand. Just trying to keep him relevant...
Do we really want Chris Brown flexing after every time he makes a tackle? The RB runs 15 yards #15 tackles him then starts flexing - looks ridiculous. It's like celebrating a TD when you are down 38-0. Come on man
I was being sarcastic. At this point, if Texas doesn't snag Meyer, this board and fans will look like aggys usually do.
The team goes back to Kansas next Saturday to play KU. If we beat down the Jayhawks as bad or worse, Tom might get another year. And we'll most likely see another 8-4 or 7-5 season in 2021.
I've been thinking that for awhile and have posted that thought here more than once. It's not what I want, but I think we have TH for another year at least.
If UM does not happen / HC change does not happen late 2020 and TH somehow stays... The meltdown on HF and elsewhere will be negative in an epic way and will harm the 2021 season on many levels. Recruiting will look like UT Permian Basin for 2021, 2022.... yes the UTPB Falcons started a team 3 years ago.
Gotta disagree. You can’t alienate the vast majority of the big money guys and survive. And you can’t throw tradition out the window and survive.
I read an article which had posted several of the emails from the BMDs to CDC and all are pulling their donations if Tom is retained. They were also upset that TH allowed the team to leave after the OU game and left Sam out there to sing the eyes alone. The some of the emails also included pulling support from other programs. Here's a link to the story. LINK: Calls for Urban, 7-figure threats: The fallout from UT's OU loss
OK. I'm obviously being sarcastic... but there will be a significant fan meltdown, recruiting will suffer terribly but it will be better than UTPB. If TH survives ... in 2021 he will gulp a lot of water and have another 7-8 win season IMO, because winning is hard... along with continuing controversy over the EYES
I think we better leave that for his wife to do, if she's agreeable. Maybe she'll take him to overtime.
Those letters are my feelings exactly. From that post-OU episode, Tom Herman and the UT football team 2020 became dead to me.
Either of those is a bad choice - especially Franklin. He bailed out of Vandy while two players went to prison for rape. He is more of a Waco type coach.
I've read that we've met with Meyer. Does anyone know the results of this meeting? He's interested? Not interested? We've offered? Backed away? anything at all? The UT people I talk to who don't do message boards have zero idea we might be after Meyer. And when I've told them, they've scoffed. I guess my question is: Is this a message board thing or is it real?
