Riley is a great Texan. Born in Lubbock, graduated from high school in MULESHOE, a more Texan place does not exist. Walked on at Tech, mentored by The Pirate and hired by OU. Ain’t their fault or his that we didn’t get him.

I don't think there is any possible way for LR to come into play at UT, but if somehow he did, I think most of us rational posters would not hold it against him he ended up at ou prior to coming to UT.

Hell, DKR was from Texas and an All American at ou in the late 40's before coming to UT as HC in 1957. He also become UT's most successful HC.

RE: Lincoln. Coaches are ambitious. They want to advance, grow, and make more $ regardless of prerences... and one day be HC to a Div 1 team like LR achieved.

 

Give him another year. I feel we have a great coach with good times coming. Please be patient a little longer.
