This is what good coaching looks like.

Since Texas is the top 3 in WOKE. I am happy for Iowa St and their success this year. I would love it if they mud holed the land thieves on Saturday.

Still expect OU to beat them by 21+ points. Iowa State is more over-rated than Texas A&M.

I, too, think ISU is going to get smoked but as a program they’re better than we are. Iowa f’n State. Thx Tom. Stay woke.

Why do some of you say ISU is overrated yet there is supposed optimism for next year at Texas on another thread even though they beat Texas.

Is this just like how we Texas fans for decades haven't liked the head coaches at other good programs because, well, none of them were the Texas head coach?

    HIC,
As stated on other post here, I really like Matt Campbell. His players buy into what he sells and it's not Woke.

How do we know he doesn't?

I believe he would do well! Not every coach was born an elite!

I think Campbell is a great coach and might end up as a legendary coach. But I think he is not ready to be CEO of Texas or Michigan. It’s a different beast and that’s no affront to Campbell. Its what TH is learning. It’s more than Sunday practices. It is executing EVERY Saturday, recruiting the state of Texas and embracing tradition. It is about executing sound coaching during the game. It is hiring the best coordinators that are not your friends. Then it’s saying “no” to the distraction of LHN. We need someone to lead Texas Football.

That's debatable. Herman's in-game decisions gift wrapped the game on a silver platter.

And wouldn’t it be great if they leap frogged Aggy after beating OU? They would go berserker.

I didn't watch it, but your comment doesn't disprove that ISU is overrated. Proves TH sucks as a coach.

Might be #6 in the country but they would be in 3rd place in the Sun Belt Conference.

And wouldn’t be in their Championship game either.

Iowa St is NOT the 6th best team in the country. If Texas had a football coach, ISU would have another loss. Go play the Bearcats.

Disgustingly, the lowly sooners always seem to rise to the occasion and do what if takes to win a Big XII Championship. I'm pulling for ISU but suspect sooners will somehow win a close one.

Iowa State isn't that good. They got beat by LaLa. If Herman ever got beat by LaLa, he would of been assassinated. Pretty much all the teams after OU are similar in play except Kansas. Even Kstate with a healthy QB.
I'd be shocked if OU doesn't beat ISU easily.

ISU is a mediocre team, with a good coach playing in a bad conference. They beat OU before OU "figured it out with Rattler". OU is going to smoke them.

Unless there is a coaching change, you might get a chance to see that after the first game of 2021.

I don't think ISU is top 10, but maybe 15th. I don't care what their recruits rank, they recruit in an area that is basically non-existent when it comes to HS football.

If anyone doesn't think that Kolar, Rose and Hall aren't among the best in the country at their position then they're smoking something. And if Purdy isn't the best QB in the B12 he's second best. A number of other trench players are very good also. It's not just the culture, there's talent for those who chose to see it.

That would be called player development. Also, having an eye for the diamond in the rough helps.
