In all seriousness, Hand did take us from the worst OL in the conference to perhaps a tad above average. But we need a step up from that level. And we need improved OL recruiting (last year’s class notwithstanding).
2021 is off to a great start: Herman gone Hand gone With the recent changes I'm feeling rejuvenated and gruntled. I think I will start lifting weights and walking, taking better care myself. I'm 60 and out of shape and I sure would like to see what's going to happen this fall season.
I thought the culture loss at the hands of Binder turned them away, but I admit I was not as engaged this year as much as usual.
Thing about Hand is he was very highly regarded when he got here. Feel like he turned down either Mack or Charlie before he said yes to Herman. Apart from one or two bright spots, O line has been a black hole for a decade.

I thought I heard something about OL development not being good at Texas. But I am certainly not in the Brocks inner circle, or even outer circle for that matter.
I think we are both saying the same thing. Hand and Herman both affected their decision to not play for Texas.
If Sark can’t get the Bama OL coach to follow him to Austin, he should inquire of Sherman, if he’s not too old for it by now. Sorry HC but excellent OL guy.

Strange turn of events for Brockermeyers - their expected OC and position coach leave for the legacy team they turned down.
Anyone think they might want to switch? I doubt it. Depends on the OL Coach at Bama if he stays or leaves, and I heard anything about him leaving. Anyone have intel on the guy?
Hand leaving is a good thing. Most of what I heard was he wasn't a stellar OL Coach and the recruiting stories on him were not good.
Someone mentioned on another thread about how every new S&C coach we get is highly regarded until they get here and after a few years we wAnt to get rid of them. And some go on to do very well with other programs. same goes for Oline coaches. maybe it’s a larger problem and hopefully the Real fix is in the works.
