I seriously don't know what ever gave you the idea that the Aggies didn't cheat from 99-12. That would be the funniest post in ten years on this board, but I fear you really believe that post.

Aggie athletics has cheated their *** off since football was introduced, with the possible exception of the WWII years.

What other university has kidnapped the president of the school for fear of getting the death penalty if he was allowed to talk to the NCAA? FWIW, his great getaway was to the ranch owned by a TexasEx - no cell service down there.

Mack NEVER tried to make JM anything but a starter for another school. To once again quote his reply to my call Monday after I watched the Tivy/Alamo Heights game - "He's a turd".

I shall never be a Mack Brown apologist after what he did to our program, but he wasn't taking Manziel for any position.

Fred Akers & Andre Ware is a different story.

    iis,

I only know from recruiting days, but more because Aggies can't keep their mouth shut.

Little things like getting a call at work, "How's your running back doing?" I knew at that point that RC had him, was gone, and we wouldn't see him again until signing day after he signed with A&M.

It was no great loss; Johnny Hector was a second round pick of the Jets, and played ten years in the league.

Aggies really have won a National Championship in football. No school has bought more cars for players and had them driven to another school. Dickerson wasn't the first, and certainly not the only one.

Of course you get excited for big teams because you hardly ever see them on your conference schedule so you have to go out of conference to get one. That's my point. The RRS is the only big ticket game y'all get in conference play. That's why y'all girpe (rightly) about the Big 12. The Big 12 was once an absolute beast in CFB. Now it's a hollow joke.

My very mild mannered mother-in-law (a Rice graduate) almost slapped me once when I had the audacity to say TRG in front of her.

    Apparently not...

If UT hadn't worked with the PAC to destroy the Big12, joining the SEC wouldn't necessarily have been in A&M's best interest. Joining the PAC was certainly not in A&M's best interest. A&M blames UT because UT bargained in bad faith. UT made commitments on behalf of A&M without its knowledge or approval.

Once that Rubicon was crossed, A&M had to operate under the assumption that UT might try to do that again.

You do realize that the Texas to PAC & Aggie to SEC was negotiated by Deloss Dodds in 1986?

I knew that was above your pay grade, so stop throwing your less than knowledgeable **** over here.

This is Good Bull from a reliable source, Sabre, the Battalion.
Or that crazy recruiting guy... I can’t think of his name. Billy Liucci I think.

tu is responsible for everything bad in Aggieland. We’re all homo, liberal, communists , of course that’s untrue, but to Ags it gives them justification to judge.

UT staff has to advocate for on field competition with the Gaggies and UT alums have to say, "Never again! Let them pond cow patties."

So far the Alums are winning.

Just remember "tu" is how the Gaggies spell "The University." Too many letters in a word confuses them greatly.

Those who don't want to play them have little to worry about. They don't want to play us and not because they're scared. That might change in 2 or 3 years but not at present.

Texas and Aggie should play every Thanksgiving. Please. Aggie will win 33 percent of the time (better than the turkey) and Horns will win the the rest. This is because the teams are generally evenly matched and hate each other, but Aggie chokes more often than not, at home. Night follows day, water is wet.

Agree we should play them. If not every year then maybe a home&home twice a decade. '22-23 and '28-29 for example.

They had 15 minutes of fame with Manziel and they sort of had another “moment” in 2020. I think they will trend down this year as we rebound, and rapidly.

I say let them live their ongoing delusion. We don’t need them and I would prefer not to waste our time.

They haven't been anything really special since leaving the Big 12 but better than us. Sometimes you have to deal with the truth.

It depends on how you choose to judge their program and its recent performance.

Yes they had a Heisman Trophy winner, but how did their team do? True, better than we did but that’s not saying much. (And perhaps that’s your point.)

Yes, last year they had one loss — in a lackluster SEC — and just missed the CFP.

So I guess you could say (and I would agree) that they had a better decade than we did but if so, it certainly wasn’t anything close to spectacular.

Based on what I’ve seen from the Sark hire so far and the level of national interest, I tend to believe that whatever slight edge the Aggies had over the last 10 years is getting ready to evaporate.

The year Manziel won the Heisman they finished 11-2 and #5 in the country. Honestly I'm not looking to promote the aggies but objectivity is a dying art. And it's sad.

Yeah, who would want to schedule A&M?
Seriously, who would want to schedule A&M?
Again, who in the world would ever want to schedule A&M?
