US is now up to a one million doses daily per 7 day average. Also, 20m doses have been administered. I think 4m has 2 doses. We need 60m doses to vaccinate the most vulnerable (top 10%). Ideally we need a 3rd vaccine (J&J) approved to get to 20% vaccinated quickly. I think deaths and hospitalizations will plummet between 10-20% vaccinated (80/20 rule).

Fake news: no vaccine by end of year.
Real news: one million doses daily the week of inauguration.

I think the DMC is going to struggle with controlling the news versus trying to prevent the facts from coming out.

He was the boy that cried wolf.

To wit, I’m still waiting on him to release his taxes and the mother scratching health care plan. That thing is the equivalent of netenyahu predicting since circa 1997 that Iran was 6 months away from nuclear capability. It is “going to be released in two weeks”. Much better than the ACA.

Are you referring to the ACA that will reduce premiums and in which you can keep your doctor?

It should be noted that no one in Israel has had the 2nd shot for 2 weeks.

I knew the bs was going to happen just based on how the vaccine is rolled out and how it takes time for the body to build up the proteins for the immune system to practice against. Since the actual virus or its proteins are NOT being injected, you have to add 2 weeks plus the time for a 2nd shot to maintain the level of fake protein.

In contrast the Novavax vaccine injects a large load of proteins that your body is able to practice against right away. It’s also the vaccine that was the most effective in small trials. Results due after J&J.

    Summary for January:
    - million doses per day of vaccine
    - Regeneron and Lilly antibody treatment proven and approved.
    - Need more of the above and J&J vaccine approved

By March 1, there will be 3 or 4 vaccines approved. Antibody treatment more readily available for seniors. No one should die of COVID after April 1.

Just think 6 months ago (late July), testing was still ramping up, no phase 3 studies yet for vaccines or antibody drugs, and football season was in doubt.

Just think 3 months ago (late Oct), no phase 3 data on vaccines or antibody drugs, and a new surge in cases.

3 months from now (late April) will be completely different from today. Cases will have plunged due to weather and vaccines and 4 vaccines approved.

By the way, here's a free investment tip.

Buy stocks, especially health-related stocks, like ISRG that are getting hammered by gloomy forecasts due to lack of elective hospital procedures. Many of those stocks are down -10 to -40% and are a huge bargain.

Buy them now before they shoot up during the summer as vaccines relegate COVID to historical status. I expect by mid summer, stocks like ISRG will be +50% or higher compared to today.

Jonathan Gruber said that “the stupidity of the American voter” made it important for him and Democrats to hide Obamacare’s true costs from the public. “That was really, really critical for the thing to pass,” said Gruber. “But I’d rather have this law than not.” In other words, the ends—imposing Obamacare upon the public—justified the means.

In fairness to Gruber, American voters are not the only people whose intelligence he questions; elsewhere in the discussion, he describes New York Sen. Chuck Schumer (D.) as someone who "as far as I can tell, doesn't understand economics"

    In other news:
The piece portrays Rhodes, Obama's top foreign policy speechwriter and arguably one of his most influential aides, as singularly in tune with his boss's thinking and narrowly focused on crafting a messaging machine to support it. It quotes Rhodes lamenting the ignorance of Washington reporters. ("They literally know nothing.") And it describes Rhodes, a former aspiring novelist, as focused on crafting a storyline and dismissing facts that don't fit.

Rhodes appears to try to keep secret news that Iran had seized 10 U.S. Navy sailors until after the president's State of the Union speech. The article quotes Rhodes and his aides describing how they used social media, journalists and friendly interest groups to disseminate White House-generated talking points about the Iran deal.

"We created an echo chamber," Rhodes said. "They were saying things that validated what we had given them to say."

David Albright, a physicist and arms control expert with the Science and International Security in Washington, said he was surprised to see a White House official "opening up this can of worms again." The intensity of the debate over the Iran deal left many in the arms control and policy world bruised, not the least because of the White House's take-no-prisoners approach, said Albright, who was briefed by the administration during the negotiations and remained neutral on the deal.

"It was, 'Are you with us or are you against us?'" Albright said, "The White House was looking for sound bites that beat the opposition, not necessarily sound bites that captured the truth of what was going on. I wish they were just putting out facts. They exaggerated and overstated to sell the deal."

Of course, the voters are dumb. I've lamented that many times, but Gruber and Rhodes don't lament it. Their livelihoods depend on it. They love it.

However, this is most of all an indictment of the media. It's hard to expect voters to know the intricacies of the Iran Deal and all the implications of it as well as the real situation on the ground in Iran. Journalists are supposed to do that and call ******** when they see it. They should have challenged these frauds, and they obviously didn't, so there was no accountability. The media has taken often (though not always) justifiable criticism for being overly hostile to Trump. However, I think the 24/7 rimjob they give to Democrats is the much bigger problem. I'd much rather they treat Democrats as they treat Republicans than treat Republicans as they treat Democrats.

Sure but it took a hit on Friday as ISRG projected a continuance of blockages on elective surgical procedures which diminishes their Da Vinci robotic system forecasts.

I've been picking up some ISRG after the dips it runs into every few months, Friday was the most recent one despite it's long term growth.

We also have some judges who are starting to smack this shyte around. German Court on a local lockdown order --

"Based on what has been said, there can be no doubt that the number of deaths attributable to the lockdown policy measures alone exceeds the number of deaths prevented by the lockdown many times over."

Depends on how you are measuring Covid deaths. If they use the Trump era standard of post mortem testing for Covid using flawed tests, then we will have a high death rate for years.

It's so maddening that this story has been ignored by the MSM. Biggest story of 2020 and the MSM has no desire to investigate the origins of this virus. I have just stopped turning on the news entirely at this point. I read the WSJ and skim a couple other online news outlets but ignore the MSM entirely. It's all just corporate propaganda and sensationalism at this point.

I hear that Biden said on Friday that there is no way for him to change the trajectory of the virus in the next few months. I thought he was the man with the plan for whooping COVID ?
