With UK so scared they canceled Saturday’s game, next opponent is Baylor. Looking at their schedule, have to be impressed with their margins of victory. Beat every team by double digits minus two 8-point wins over TTU and KU and coming off a 48-point stomping of KSU (yes, they suck but still impressive). Good news is they’ve played only three top-25 teams, with two being the 8-point wins mentioned above. Huge test for our team, best team we’ll play during the regular season. A win puts us back near the top and would prove this team is for real. Excited to watch
I think the 3 keys to winning the Baylor game are 1) having an all hands on deck healthy lineup--including Shaka being there and him being active "playing" the refs; 2) tough team defense, without getting into early foul trouble--we simply cannot put BU into the Bonus/double bonus early; 3) shooting decent--doesn't have to be exceptional-- from beyond the arc. I would take 34% 3point shooting as long as we have Jones and Sims playing strong inside. Will this be easy? Of course not. BU is indeed the 2nd best team in the country. Is it possible to put this kind of game together? ABSOLUTELY!
That's certainly good news. The times I've seen Baylor play this season, their big guys and rebounding seemed pretty tough. Sims, Kai, and Brown will have something to say about that.
Unless I'm forgetting something, this is the biggest UT regular season game since the #1 Duke v. #2 Texas game in 2005 up here in New Jersey. That was my second-least-favorite UT sports moment that I witnessed in person (losing out to the utterly disastrous '91 Cotton Bowl against Miami). Let's hope this one turns out better than that one.

Texas has got to run them off the 3 point line. We are not playing bad but this Baylor team can flat out shoot. Andrew Jones needs the ball in his hands every possession!!
The frenetic out of control offense is being exposed by the BU defense. A. Jones is keeping the Horns in the game.
We fought back from a big deficit to a 7 point deficit at half. Baylor is quite a bit better than anyone we’ve played—including Villanova. There aren’t any weak links in that chain. Jones has a hot hand tonight.
Yes, the bu defense is smothering and their multiple 3 point shooters are impressive. Wish we could get our bigs more open looks down low
That play by Brown just changed this game entirely! I don't like the call but the stare down was just stupid and resulted in a 4 point play
And as I said that Brown makes the dumbest foul of the season. Instead of his dunk being a monster momentum boost for his team the foul kills our run.
Oh well. Fourth in conf...,.third if we’re lucky. Team forgot how to win tight games, but maybe they get lucky in tournament.
This is what TRUE perimeter shooting can do! We haven’t been able to stretch the floor in a decade! Baylor ALWAYS has sharpshooters. Fact!
Well Texas played well up until the last 3 minutes. When you don't have a full team in practice and your head coach just got back after 19 days then things like this happen. Texas, unfortunately met up with Baylor after all that went down. We will really see who this team is down the stretch now that they have a coach and full team. Expect Texas to turn up the heat soon.
We need to work on those free throws. Missing all three after getting fouled on a three point shot shouldn’t happen.
