This is awesome! We’ve never done this before. Lesser coaches like Barnes could never leap this hurdle. We are the Champions!!!!

We’ve won the last 3 tournaments we’ve been in (NIT, Maui, Big 12). Let’s make it 4.

What a change to see them knocking down those free throws at the end.

Perfect time to nail Shaka down to a many year contract, lest he bolt to the NBA.

Fitting that two seniors, Sims and Coleman, not only shouldered the load but had career games. Experience and maturity matter.

Keep the ball in Coleman’s hands, keep Jericho out of foul trouble, and keep grinding and we’ll make a lot of noise in the tournament.

Sims plays defense like a starting NBA center. Late in the year, under Shaka’s expert tutelage, he really developed his offensive game.

OK, I have to temper my excitement about Smart. Never badmouthed him, but was truly disappointed with some of the results. The Mo Bamba year in particular. And why has he not recruited a “true “ point guard the last couple of years? Kind of reminds me of the John Makovic era in football, but I never disliked Shaka as much as I did Mackovic. Hopefully this will be the start of great things for Shaka! :bevo::bevo:

Oh this is just the beginning

We’re going to the Sweet 16 and beyond.

Probably the Final 4 and a possible National Championship.

And it’s not too late for the naysayers to jump on the bandwagon and come along for the ride!

    A 3 seed is usually a lot easier than a 4 seed.

Yep. The 4 seeds have to play a 1 seed in the Sweet Sixteen. A 3 seed would meet a 1 seed in the Elite Eight. That’s if they win out up to that point of course.

That spin move into an up and under was the best move I’ve ever seen him make. He’ll be in the league for a while if he keeps it up. He certainly has the hops, never seen someone jump so high so fast

The last two games were the best I've seen Matt play. His decision making tonight was at a very high level. He attacked the hoop, made assists, protected the ball, and made the clutch free throws.
If he continues to play with this level of patience, passing and motion he'll take the team a long way in the tourney.

Right back atcha poop.. Dude or dudette, Coleman was recruited five years ago. He is a senior. Is he coming back next year? So, who replaces him? Ramey? What if Ramey decides to leave too? Cunningham? Just speculating,

Awesome to see Texas win a Big XII tourney. Now the fact of the matter is that this whole season will be judged on what happens in the next 2, 3, hopefully 4, 5 or 6 games. Sweet Sixteen is floor for expectations.

You should notify Shaka. I’m with you, I can’t believe he doesn’t have a plan for PG next year other than Cunningham. Thank god you noticed.

Come on, the NIT...twice. The first one at least was a pretty big deal at the time, but I actually enjoyed them winning both of them.
