    well we lost a giant of Texas /American literature today.............I remember how engrossed I got as I tore off into Lonesome Dove the 1st time.....I may need to revisit this masterpiece again....what book and what a writer!

    My favorite is Walter Benjamin at the Dairy Queen in which he roams around thinking of west Texas ranch life, the art of conversation and his life as a reader.
    I understand Nabokov’s Speak, Memory is also excellent along the same lines
