Lincoln Riley has not released Chandler Morris, although he has transferred to TCU and is practicing with the team. (I thought that the B 12 had a rule on this.) Rattler has the qb job locked up and I can’t blame the Morris kid for moving on. I wonder what his dad thinks and if Riley will roll over? If he intends to give in, why this bulls- - t delay.

Why the delay? Obvious -it's ou, and they think only about what helps them and hurts their opponents; fairness doesn't enter into their mind.

Report: Big 12 Makes Decision On Controversial Transfer Rule

"According to Nicole Auerbach, the Big 12 will also make a change to its transfer policy. The Power Five conference will eliminate its controversial rule that doesn’t allow student athletes to seek immediate eligibility when attempting to transfer to another school in the Big 12.

"The conference bylaws currently read that intraconference transfers must “complete one full academic year in residence before being eligible to compete in a sport and forfeit one season of competition unless, in sports other than football or basketball, the director of athletics of the Conference Member Institution of initial enrollment consents in writing to the student-athlete’s enrollment at the second Conference Member Institution.”

"Auerbach confirmed that there are still certain requirements the transfers must meet in order to have immediate eligibility at another Big 12 school, but did not provide further details."

Looks like they took it out of Riley’s hands.

The rules was enacted after the OU guy transferred. The question is, does the new rule have a "look back" provision, or will players who transfer prior to the new rule still be subject to the old rule? There was nothing in the announcement regarding or explaining the "certain requirements" in the new rule.

    Two questions.
    1. Will this be a bad rule for the conference. I think it stated that it is a one time offering. That males it a little better.
    2. OU is getting top quarterbacks each year (including the no.1 qb in the nation last year) and Rattler is being touted as their next Heisman winner. Is Riley having doubts about Rattler or maybe concerned about his durability and trying to hold a this kid for an insurance policy? How many stud quarterbacks does he need at one time?

If he wins the starting gig at TCU I hope he goes undefeated against the gooners in his career...

I hope Patterson is not relying on him to take TCU anywhere except maybe beating Kansas. Hoping they have a better option.
