Suspected of robbery. As long as they were not trying to rob the Governor, all will be forgiven.

    "Trouble in Norman"
    An oxymoron
The trouble in Norman is that Norman is and whatever is in it not only is as well but is while being in it.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

I'm certain it was ALL just one big misunderstanding.

Trouble? Nothing some $1,000 handshakes can't solve or soften with officials & judges. Come on Judge, boys will be boys!

The players of course will be placed on double-secret probation, and have to sit out the first 3 games of the season but predictably they will return to the team in time to play vs. Texas!

    Worster,

    I see it differently.

    1) It is under investigation - define "it" & whom is under investigation. It's Norman, so it is likely the police who are under investigation for not understanding "the rules"

    2) Suspension? The officers are likely on desk duty until this is all cleared up. Like, why did you continue after you found out they were players

    3) Suspension? The players probably will miss part of, if not all of the spring game. They will be required to attend one of the rehabilitation classes set up for these situations; probably the one listing the businesses that provide free **** to players without a gun.

Any more severe punishment will be served by members of the Southeast Oklahoma State football team.

Police officers not passing remedial learning classes will be reassigned to the perimeter security team at the prison in McAllister

The information leaked out states, aside from theft, that a gun was involved and a man assaulted. It appears at the hands of the same player, Trejan Bridges, who was suspended most of last year for drug infraction. If this is true, it should be treated very seriously, but I am in agreement with you all that this is unlikely and the 5 star recruit and his accomplice will likely see the field this year - with Trejan being named team captain.
As for the reported 3rd subject, who is not a football player, he will surely take the fall and be run out of town ...once he finishes serving consecutive sentences for all three.

The only unforgiveable offense at ou is failure to win football games.

Not true, showing up at a BMDs home drunk and demanding scotch, then demeaning the lady of the house for not having any, will get you a free moving van at you house.

As I recall, Schnellenberger was followed by John Blake. Maybe they'll bring Blake back to coach. :smile1:

Officer Dewey: Sarg, we just brought in two dudes for pistol whipping an unarmed man, theft, and resisting arrest. Say they're on the team. What do you want us to do?
    Sarg: Are they starters??
    Dewey: Not sure, Boss.
Sarg: Dewey, I told you to always check before you bring them in!!
Get Linc on the line...Here's his cell...
And tell Corky to phone up PR over there and ask them what they want the report to say.
.. And try not to let any leaked video footage get out this time! ..That Bake stuff almost cost me my job!

See as how the original "sooners" were land thieves back in the 1800s, your statement is spot on.

Lincoln Riley has honor. Go figure. Probably weren't living up to recruitment but tip the hat for dumping them.
