Will Ewers have competition at tOSU?
I read that there is one 5 star and 2 four stars there already he will be competing against. He will actually have an easier time starting here. However, I am very high on Card and wouldn't count him out. And while Murphy has the tools but does he have the "it". No one knows yet due to his limited experience.
BTW, how did Murphy and his team do this past season? Is the season still going on?

Had he been my son and I had observed the incompetence of Herman and his mismanagement of the program and the controversy, I would have advised him to decommit as well.

As I have reported many times, Ewers’ father was well aware of the issues in Austin. Apparently so was everyone else.

Let’s see where signs. I’ll bet it’s Texas.

Good rule of sales is that if the door isn’t shut now, you likely will win it if you play your cards right.

Had he been my son and observed all you speak of and he truly wanted to play for the Horns, I would have advised him to wait for the season to end and see what happens with the coaching staff.
Or if decommiting, don't commit to anyone else just yet.
Otherwise you come off looking bad flip flopping all over the place.
If they were so in the know then they had to feel a coaching change could happen.
He should've waited until after the bowl game to see what happened.

Spoken like a man that never met Mack Brown, and certainly one that has never been involved in recruiting.

There is a "drop dead" date for the majors. How many quality QBs did Brown lose with his ultimatum of now or not at all?

If the Ewers knew Herman was being fired, that was of no help at all. Whom is coming in? What's his game plan? What type of offense? Does he want our son?

The Ewers grabbed a great opportunity for their son, with only Alabama being comparable, although an argument can be made for Riley and his NFL placements. They had to look at Ohio State, Alabama, Sons of Klem, and OU, and which offered the best opportunity.

If he flips, the only people that he looks bad to are YOU and a bunch of lard ***, polyester clad cretins in Columbus.

Bet he flips. Then we can see if he flops.

Don’t blame the kid at all for avoiding the Herman dumpster fire.

But moving to Ohio and couch fires is another dumpster fire all together.

George Bailey No beans in my chili, thank you

Jorts are available in polyester now? Guess that makes sense, polyester wouldn't stain like denim if you drop the sugary chili from your spaghetti. Or hold the smoke smell from burning couches.

Per TFB, a mystery LB who is considering entering the portal made a visit to Austin over the weekend.

If he does decide to transfer, Texas is the likely landing spot.

Based on that site's ties to OU, the rumor is it's former five-star Drew Sanders from Denton Ryan as he's been unhappy at Alabama.

For the record, that was not a racist comment. A racist comment would be a derogatory statement about another race. I actually praised a different race for their abilities if you remember.
Now a strong argument could be made that I stereotyped another race but that's not racism especially if it's stated tactfully and in a honest, respectful non-downgrading manner.
But we are so hypersensitive and politically correct these days that you can't even praise another race for their abilities.

So is it okay if someone says white people are good at bowling?? Just kidding. Everything you wrote is obviously true; it’s ridiculous that you even felt obligated to say it.

i was talking to some people in my van pool a few years back and mentioned that our son, (the starting center on a Big 10 team) was being backed up by a really athletic black guy. As the only girl (attractive black girl by the way) on our van pool was apparently listening she proceeded to let me know that she was offended by my comment.

I never understood why and she didn't tell me....was the word "black" offensive, or was it "athletic black guy"? Maybe she was offended because our son is white and just maybe she thought that he shouldn't be starting ahead of an athletic black guy....have no clue to this day and didn't want to stir anything up so I didn't ask.

Crazy mixed up world we live in today it seems.

    :rolleyes1:

I would have asked her why she felt that way. I might learn something.
