Lat year's BS combined with this, were it to happen, would likely end my support and desire to watch UT sports.
Texas and OU want to join the SEC | TexAgs Realignment is bound to happen 'sooner' or later, that's for sure. But the best part of this happening would be to sit back and watch the aggy implosion.
Only good part would be that the SEC could force providers to accept the LHN and put it Comcast, et al
If this were to happen (god forbid) it would truly be funny...Big Brother back to give little bro more lessons in HUMILITY.
If it happened, Alabama & Auburn to the east; Texas & OU in the West. Still not sure OU can move without oSu, but still trying to find out when and how the new OU president learns how to do things.
I'm Old School. I know I'll get crucified on this board, but UT to the SEC would be tremendous! Also, UT should play A&M every Thanksgiving Day. The way it was meant to be. "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...."
I was not expecting 'I'm Old School' and 'UT to the SEC would be tremendous!' to go together. Also, you know aggy would complain that little brother followed them to SEC and LSU is their true Thanksgiving day rival...
If the status quo includes 100+ more years of home games against Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas and Kansas State, then sign me up for the SEC right now! Also, since when does anyone care what the Aggies think? To Hell With Them!
Kind of humorous that Sankey said in his press conference that he and Bowelsby have been in discussions over the Covid situation the last several weeks and that Texas & OU are in his other ear? Texas puts in a million, OU puts in a million, oSu puts in a million and go get Oliver Luck to be Big XII commissioner, then allocate the costs to other members. Turn Oliver loose to do what's best for members, including exploring new "NAME" members not city schools. Right now, Clemson, FSU, GT, USC are really unhappy with there present situation; could they be moved? Don't know until an intelligent representative sits down with each for an open discussion.
I’m totally onboard with sabreHorn ^ Love that plan! If only……..unfortunately it will look like this: SEC west Texas OU Missouri Arkansas Texas A & M LSU Ole Miss Miss St SEC East Alabama Auburn Florida Georgia Vandy Kentucky S. Carolina Tennessee
I tend not to believe it. I just don’t see the end game, the reasoning, for Texas. And certainly academically and ethically it would appear to be a step backward. But who knows. I just don’t like the idea.
They are going down the options. I like Sabrehorn’s idea the best…pooch some blue blood folks from other conferences
More so than Kentucky, South Carolina, Vandy, Miss Cow College, and certainly having to go to Auburn (it's Clemson without the lake) with nowhere to stay and nowhere to eat.
These fools should first be figuring out how to win the Big 12 before we go into a potentially harder situation. If we win the Big 12 we are pretty much lock for the final four tourney. I guess it’s part of our culture to focus on money and business than winning.
