Thanks. Believe it nor not, I've only seen two movies released this century, King's Speech and Darkest Hour, both concerning the leadup to WWII.

See it either way. True story of grit and determination during difficult times in America and for largely forgotten kids.

I grew up in Fort Worth and remember as a youth, adults talking about what those Masonic Home kids in FW did with all the odds against them.

I loved the movie: Darkest Hour. Gary Oldman WAS Winston Churchill!!! So convincing!

Not a movie but a series originally broadcast on HBO: Band of Brothers - 5 stars! Very accurate to WW2 history. A must view.

Speilberg: Saving Private Ryan is very well done but largely fictional. D-Day landing was as close as Hollywood has ever gotten to the horrors of Omaha Beach.... Worth you watching.

 

At all! My wife and I are content with movies shown on TCM (Turner Classic Movies), especially the Noir Alley movies hosted by Eddie Muller. We've seen all of the great Hitchcock movies many times.

 

I don't miss the Hogs. Texas - Texas Tech and Oklahoma - Oklahoma State should be yearly games.

The existence of the East and the paucity of cross-divisional games is why I don't buy the "tough SEC schedule" stuff. Yeah if you're Ole Miss you might have to play Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, and Florida or Georgia all in one year, which is potentially brutal. But if you're Georgia, you may just get Florida, Auburn, and 6 patsies.

With 4 team groups, you could play the 3 in your own group, plus 2/4 in each other group, for 9 conference games a year with every pair of school playing at minimum twice in a 4-year period. They won't do that though. Which is too bad, because if a player can spend a full 4 or even 5 healthy years at a school and still not experience at least one game in every stadium in the conference, you're really stretching to call it a conference at that point.

 

Haven't seen any first run movies at a theater lately, not in several years anyway.
