I agree, Vino Bevo. "Field of Dreams" is easily the best baseball movie ever (my other choices for top baseball movies are Bull Durham, A League of Their Own, Eight Men Out, Major League, and Trouble with the Curve).
The Natural didn't make your Top 5 list, HHD? I think Malamud's brilliant novel was far better than the movie, but I still liked the movie. The Bad News Bears should also get honorable mention...

Probably not in my top five but "for Love of the Game" and "Bang the Drum Slowly" are honorable mentions.
I'm loving this game tonight with the White Sox/Yankees, but for me Disch-Falk = the Field of Dreams and Augie will always be the coach of the home team
I don't get the FOD love. Maybe I'm just a weirdo but I think it is corny. At least Bull Durham and Major League are funny.
The teams played a game that entertained the fans and the TV audience. It will almost certainly become an annual event.
