Did you know that Ja'Tavion Sanders is the 13th highest rated recruit for Texas since 247 began?

And the list includes Bru McCoy lol so I'm thinking he's 12th.

    Y'all get ready!

    Here's the whole list...

Cory Redding and Chris Simms would've been top 10 if it included 1999. Of course 5* isn't a guarantee. A couple of the top 10 were busts and Mike Davis and Malik Jefferson didn't exactly set the world on fire.

Great list and much appreciated. Just goes to show that the ratings are a guide, but not an exact science.

Reviewing the list, I’d put the “hit rate,” performance versus expectations, at about 50%. As an example, Gray & Brown were expected to be huge difference makers, and neither were. There are many others that didn’t do as well as they did, and both — in college — were somewhat of a disappointment.

I'd say 50% is extremely generous. More like 30%.

Brown has done fine in the NFL. Earl and Ricky would've struggled behind the worst line in Texas history. Maybe the worst line in college football history.

Foreman did pretty well behind what was supposedly a very weak line.

I'm going to go at about 50%. Not that they were NFL 1st round picks, but that they were very good to great for us.

I remember watching Tray Allen’s signing ceremony at night on NSD. I was so relieved when he signed, then nothing. Couldn’t break the starting lineup of a very average line.

We haven't heard much about Sanders so far. And I missed him on the 3 deep.

Had a holding penalty late in game on run to the outside and saw him play on extra point kicks.

To me he seems like a better fit on defense, as an OLB/edge rusher. But to be realistic, I really don’t know that much about him.

I will always say it was that hurry up offense and his vision. Of course the line must have been creating some openings.
But I like the offensive coordinator and his offensive line coach I hated to see them leave.
