Even beyond the huge gap in physical strength on the lines, we've piled up a huge number of unforced errors too that cost us 10-20 points.
Hardly anybody on our side even playing like it matters to them that the backup QB is owning them. Meanwhile, that dude clearly didn't care that they already had the game won, he wanted to go in there and score to run it up on us. Drastic difference in motivation here.
That field storm explains everything. They hate us more than they hate their in-conference rivals and more than they love themselves. We don't give them a second thought - until it's too late. It's like Rocky IV - we think it's an exhibition and they think it's a battle to the death.
Arkansas taking a knee. Man, been a while since I've seen an opponent do that to us, at least a couple of years.
They're storming the field and tearing down the goal posts. I sure as hell expected more out of this season.
If Sark had gone to Thompson in the late 2nd Qtr this may have been a different game! Maybe still a loss, due to the run D.
I would not want to be in the locker room with Sark right now, and especially not on Monday after he reviews the game film. Gonna be a rough team meeting to say the least.
Back here to eat crow after all my bold talk last week about a Horn win. Wow, I drank the kool-aid too long after the first win. Damn this ugly on so many levels
Sark has been humbled many times in his life, and his career. He was humbled tonight. None of us could have dreamed that what we saw tonight was possible. For me, it’s a gut punch. Let’s see if or how quickly he can regroup. But frankly, tonight changes everything.
One other good thing: their band only played "Arkansas Fight" when their team scored. (Unlike that band that plays BS at the drop of a hat)
Well you know what? With the 4 new schools joining we would have been better off staying where we were. Yes I mean that. At least we won our bowl games. This was soooo bad.
The d although didn't play well, needed Casey to stem the tide and give them a chance. Casey going in at halftime should have been a no brainer. It was obvious Card didn't have it tonight.
OL and DL got dominated. On our INT, the Ark WR was wide open deep and it would have been a TD if the QB had just put a little more air on the throw. That Ark INT that resulted in our short field TD, and Thomson’s late heroic effort really masked how bad we got beat.
We still suck, which I suppose shouldn’t surprise us. It’ll take a while for Sark to get his players for his system. But that play calling was horrendous. Running right into the middle of the line time after time when Piggie was controlling the line of scrimmage was just stupid. Once Casey started getting the ball outside, things loosened up. And our D got exposed too. Let’s hope the team can regroup.
I am pissed that thompson didn't start second half. I called it. But our defense was porous. But at least the game would have been closer and we would have had a quarterback play like his hair was on fire Hell, maybe the defense would have been inspired Sark is mortal after all.
I was thinking the same thing. Problem is I also think it was gonna be all downhill from here for Herman if he would have stayed….
