It's my understanding that the SEC does not include soccer as one of its sports. What is Chris going to do with the brand new soccer stadium?

We got new assistants? Did the old ones move on? Is this a “last chance” for Kelly?

The last chance was several years ago.

New assistants are from Samford and UAB. Not exactly blow away hires just from that perspective.

The two assistants were just announced yesterday. Seems late as the first game is about 8 days away. Don’t know what happened to previous coaches. The two hires seem underwhelming in experience and pedigree. We are picked fifth in B12 pre-season poll. Kelly does appear to have some good incoming freshmen along with Grosso. It’s tough to win with freshmen. May be even tougher in SEC soon. I don’t understand Kelly since she’s been here 10 years with some success but just some.

Hagen is head coach at Colorado State.
Sanchez is head coach at Illinois Wesleyan.

Both were announced in early summer.

You have to wonder about coach's rep when we pull in a fantastic freshman class and still only rank 5th in the B12.

If she doesn't find a way to win this season with the talent she has I think her time coaching may just be done

If she doesn’t make the NCAA tournament this year I can’t imagine she stays. That would mean she’s not contributing to winning the Learfield Director’s cup……..again. The Director’s cup has become an amazingly big prize for Texas AND Chris del Conte!

Our poor soccer team just looks terrible! They look slow, out of shape, can’t pass and have no enthusiasm! I’ve watch the first 3 games of the year and we looked so overmatched against UCF & Georgetown. Against a terrible Florida team we couldn’t hold a lead? We have 5 more non conference games before Big 12 play. Maybe we’ll see some improvement? But right now I can’t see Coach Kelly lasting past this year.

They are going to be so beat down by conference play that the only match they will be in is against ou (who is also dreadful).

The Horns clearly looked better against a weak, but 3-0, New Mexico State team. But still I don’t have a good feeling about this team. Rice coming up in Houston on Sunday will be a true test. They are currently ranked #19 with a 5-0 record. Another beat down would not look good!

Look, we're not ACC. We're not Pac12 or anywhere coastal.

I'm not my pumping flagship blah blah.

We are the most attractive school for female athletes for 400 miles in any direction.

In those 400 miles are some of the best girls club soccer in the world.

We should be better than this.

3 game win streak, and the ladies are playing much better since tying a good, ranked Rice squad on September 5th.

We look so much better than we did earlier in the year but it seems we still give up a lot more shot opportunities than we create for ourselves. That was a very good currently 10th ranked TCU team that we hung with. That ranking will change as TCU did lose to Baylor this past week but I like how we have improved! Tech up next and that will be another big test!

The team looked really good against ISU. Totally controlled the play and pace of the game. I didn’t think ISU ever made a serious challenge at a goal. Next 3 games will tell all, Baylor, WV, OSU, if we can make the NCAA tournament! Go Horns! :ousucks::ousucksnana::headbang:

'Horns have made their way into the top 25 rankings (United Soccer Coaches). RPI ranking is still mid-40s. WVU (from 9 to 21) and Baylor (out of the polls) fell but those are TOUGH upcoming matchups.

REALLY hoping this squad can finish strong. Winning one playoff game would be awesome. REALLY hoping we can secure a berth in the sweet 16 at least.

Our freshmen are having great years! It's exciting for the future. I'd hope that CDC has a little more grace for coach because we don't want those freshmen (or new recruits) to transfer out.

This Baylor game tonight is going to be stressful. We really need to hang tight with them. I'll be jumping in my chair each shot we attempt. Let's Go Horns!!!!!

0-0 result tonight isn't a bad thing for tonight. Tie in enemy territory is fine. Wish we could've eeeked out a W, but that's okay!
