I think a lot depends on Stewart and Thompson. We're also trying to get Coleman to visit. Haven't seen anywhere that Hudson is a priority. Have to see how this one plays out.

A lot of noise this week on Harris. Supposedly some word got out that bama and LSU were his finalists. He has refuted that. Hopefully this visit will either put us back in the game or keep us in it.

Question for those more in the know. I thought we were hard targeting Evan Stewart & Brenen Thompson. It would seem like there may be interest from Larry Turner Gooden, Jordan Hudson, Shazz Preston and others ? Would we take more than two of the above ? Is it first come first serve ?

 

I think Evan Stewart is absolutely top of our list. Then the others are first come, first serve. But I'm not really an insider or anything like that.

 

Because of the new portal replacement rule ... we can take more players this year than ever before ... I am sure Stewart and Brennan are takes for sure

@cnb mentioned that LTG could play on defense as well ... alot of moving parts for sure

 

Evan is an immediate difference maker. I am sure all the top schools are saying that about him and want him. Its a dog fight.
I think equally important (or even more important) for us to get is o-lineman Campbell and one or two other top notch linemen.

Stewart and Thompson are both takes. Stewart is ready to play right away ala Worthy. Thompson is all about speed but still needs wr skills. Still a take.
Turner-Gordon is a cb/safety who showed interest early and coach K likes him. Preston is a long shot at WR but possible, especially if we can keep Tapp as he appears to be a Pied piper for the LA kids. Throw in Mathews who is one of the top safeties in the country , de committed from LSU and is working on a visit. (Prob Oki st). Hudson is not being prioritized , is very talented but appears to be a bit of a head case.

 

Really really want Mathews.

 

LSU is shaky. Cherry picking some top Louisiana guys is a real possibility this year.

Texas commit Maalik Murphy out to support some guys tonight at Westlake/Del Valle.

 

If they Lose to the Pirate today (which is real possibilty) his seat is red hot!

 

Putting on a good show for the potential recruits at the game today - would be nice to see a couple of commitments after the game.
