I'm not a fan of his stand up, but 7 hours is pretty impressive. Then again I guess it's not that hard if it's all stolen material. The Link
He now also has the record for the longest comedic performance without saying anything even remotely funny.
Wow. That is impressive. He must be in excellent shape, for his body to be able to flail around uncontrollably for that long. I am amazed he didn't cramp up and need an IV.
glad to see everyone else around here finds him to be one of the least funny humans on this planet. I keep thinking his career is an experiment in how someone can be so ****** but keep on getting new jobs.
This is a very refreshing post. How in the F*ck does this guy sell out two shows at the Garden? Two shows?? I don't know anybody that likes his stand-up. Is he big in the zombie community?
I really don't understand his popularity. With most ****** comics, I can tell when they want me to laugh. It may not be funny, but I can at least spot it. I can't do that with Dane Cook. I've never seen anyone like him.
I think his target audience is teenage girls and douchebags. And the only reason they like him is because he wears vertically striped shirts and has messy hair. I'd personally rather listen to Liza Minnelli sing showtunes for 7 hours.
While the cool thing appears to be to hate Cook, I don't think he's that horrible. I agree that he's not funny enough to warrant the attention that he gets, but I would prefer to listen to him over the average opening act at comedy club.
We love Dane Cook and Nickelback and other stuff that doesn't make us think too much. Sincerely, America
pair him up with adam sandler and you have the least funny one two punch in the history of mankind...
BA93 is correct. Dane Cook talking on SNL about flipping cashews off his weiner was funny ****. Yes, he's been overexposed and done ****** movies, but on a scale of 1- 10, he is in the 6-8 range, not the 1-2 per the cool kids on Hornfans.
I tend to think the thing about Dane Cook is that he is not perhaps as bad as people say, but he isn't that good relative to his success. Sort of like Jimmy Fallon. I detest Jimmy Fallon, he's probably not as unfunny as I think, but he's had way more success then someone like him should've had. Dane Cook is perhaps the same way, he's not as bad as some people say, but he's incredibly overrated and doesn't have the talent to warrant the success he's had.
