I thought UM was going to end up in Austin. Of course, it didn't happen and I was happy about that. I also thought Gary Patterson would end up in Austin and be a good fit. I'm happy to say I was wrong on all those thoughts. TCU football: Gary Patterson chides Bijan Robinson's workload at Texas after Zach Evans question
Methinks I hear a sore loser talking. Yes thirty five carries is a lot. That said, carry 35 and they couldn't prevent him from getting a 1st down. I think the purple shirts were the ones overworked.
As i said previously Bijan doesn't need 35 carries. More like 22-25. I hope k Rob gets about 7-10 carries. He is a home run threat. Both Robinsons need those swing passes to the outside. Make someone miss and get good yardage. On another note: I was pushing for UM early way before Herman got canned. Sark was not even a known option yet. Then SARK was announced. It took me a little while but i thought yes he might be good hire, especially with his success on the field and with recruiting. I am pleased so far even if we don't pull this coming game out.
I lived in Florida when UM quit UF. It was obvious he was a lying sack of **** then and I never wanted him to step foot on the 40 acres. Hey Gary. Ricky Williams averaged 33 carries per game his senior year. We may have moved away from this type of football recently but 30+ carries used to be common. Now we tend to employ at least a two back system and I doubt this is an every game number of carries for Bijan. But it's good to know he is capable of it if needed.
UM gets canned at Jacksonville this season. Next season or next he coaches USC or Notre Dame. Either place, they'd better get ready for a natty there....
Patterson pulled a Tom Herman with regard to the use of his best offensive playmaker. I never thought I'd see us out-coach Patterson, but we just did.
Fat Pat failed to mention that Bijan is averaging about 20 carries a game so far this year. His superstar (who was so tired and whom he is so carefully protecting) is averaging 17. I agree that 35 is a lot, but Bijan was averaging 6 yards each time he touched it so he couldn't have felt too bad. Getting "that one" sure would have been nice, though.
I was relieved we did not get UM. It just seemed gross. And Patterson would never cut it at UT. He seems like a good coach for overachieving at a school like TCU. But I doubt hed be any better than Herman at UT where you get every schools best shot week in and week out. Plus, his personality(raging dumbass) not a good fit. on that note Bijan seemed to be having a good old time. Count me as not worried. He seems like the kind of back who enjoys wearing a defense down snd gets stronger as the game goes on.
Herman was such an ******* and ****** coach that I felt getting Myer would be great. That's how bad TH was. I will say, however, and admit I seem to have been wrong, that I felt UM maybe just gets the bad rap from fanbases of teams he hadn't won any NCS at, which is most programs. That was why I figured he might be okay as the Texas coach.
Not a fan of Urban Meyer nor is his wife these days! This can happen when your getting lap dances from co-eds. Geez!
Bijan carried too often, esp the week before ou. I'd have liked his 1rst 35 carry game to be vs ou UM, no way. He's modern day Switzer without the high degree of ignorance
Dang it. I took a few weeks off from HF, and now my jokes aren't working. I was wanting more info on whom one SHOULD get lap dances from if not coeds.
ABC channel is off the air in dish network in my area (southeast texas) due to a squabble over money/negotiations. Can't watch the game or record at home. Have to go somewhere like Twin Peaks or Chili's i suppose.
Thinking back, I wonder if UM would have been given the "Laugh IN" Flying Fickle Finger of Fate award? He might've just been working on his magicians act by trying to pull a rabbit out of....nevermind!
Having the same issue over this way around Beaumont. Bought an antenna this morning hoping to solve the problem. 60 mile range and the signal was too weak. I'll probably tune in and have Craig Way paint the picture of this Longhorn Victory!
