I was quite the fan of Linda back in the day, but hadn’t thought about her in a long time. I didn’t really know the end game of her career, that she got Parkinson’s and lost the ability to sing. So sad.

I think the thesis of the documentary is that Linda Ronstadt was one of the great female voices in American music. Although I liked her songs, I would have thought that was a stretch. However, darned if they didn’t convince me by the end that she was just that. Even the opera she sang on Broadway was amazing.

Also, the documentary is interesting because she was associated with so many famous musicians along the way—kind of a who’s who of singers, songwriters, guitar players and producers of the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Many, many famous musicians basically bow down to her in the documentary for her talent and character.

    Just a review for you….

Always thought her voice was special. Her public politics caused a lot of disgust for many but I didn’t throw away her records :rolleyes1:. The picture of her in those roller skates was hot, in my younger opinion of course.

I watched some LR videos on YouTube tonight: She was amazing and in 75-77 I was in love with her. Unbelievable voice but her politics…… ugh
Gotta put politics aside and remember her beauty and talent

Silver Threads and Golden Needles sung with Jackson Browne, and her backup band aka The Eagles.
