Wonder what all those recruits thought about this game, especially following last week's implosion. Hard to attract top talent with these types of performances.

I can't see any of those highly ranked 4 & 5 stars wanting to come here. Sark has shown zilch so far. Last week & today are as pathetic as anything that ever happened under Strong or Herman. Nothing has changed.

Don't know what to think about Sark.
    Very good first half coach?
Nutts get tight in the second half. He loses creativity during adversity. And he doesn't use all his weapons AKA Keilan Robinson. No swing passes to the RBs or no bootlegs to get the qb out of the pocket etc. Hes got to be creative the whole game and not just the first half.

Were they impressed? I mean that was quite a **** show we put on for them today.

Hmmm, didn't we lead most of the game? That alone means it was not "quite a s*** show".
Give Sark time please. He is not God nor is he a magician.
Saban in his first year was 6-6 at Alabama.

We lead up until the end of both games which means we are COMPETITIVE. Recruits see that. They see how close we are to being a powerhouse and that we are trending upward.
Saban was 6-6 his first season at Alabama.

Poop away, I care as much about your opinion as you do mine. Right now, the recruiting focus is '22-'23, we'll see if Sark can produce Ws and recruiting wins like Saban in the future. Outside of kids that grew up burnt orange like Ehlinger, do you think we'll get many highly ranked kids with unlimited options?

Mack Jones - starting for Pats.
Tua Tagovailoa - starting for Fins
Najee Harris - starting for Steelers
DeVonta Smith - Heisman winner - starting for Eagles
Xavior Worthy - playing pretty much out of his mind as a freshman
Bijan Robinson - mentioned in Heisman race

Just a few reasons top recruits may still consider this program.
They aren't as emotionally invested as most on this board and can be a little more objective and realistic as to where this program should be and what Sark can accomplish in his first year with basically one recruit of his own. (Worthy)

Yes i am serious. This year's and next year's recruiting and we will get there.
I am concerned for next season's QB situation. Maalik will not be ready. Card needs to get his act together. He needs to play more this season. He may play against k state and kansas.
I do believe Thompson has another year of eligibility but I don't know if he will be around

Saban won a NC before setting foot in Tuscaloosa. He was a proven commodity going to Alabama. Sarkisian's ceiling after 6 full seasons is 8 regular season wins.

Your quote above reminds me of every coach that came and went with no success in comparison to (you name the successful coach). Mentioning sark and saban in the same breath is nonsense.

OK, you convinced me. Let's start a campaign to fire Sark now!!!
Assuming we are successful, who do you want to see hired instead?

Okay, let's compare Sark's resume to the last hire that won a MNC for the Horns.

Mack Brown at Tulane went 11-23.

"At UNC, Brown compiled a 69-46-1 record. He was 1-10 in each of his first two seasons before getting to 10-3 in 1993 and then back-to-back 10-win seasons in 1996 and 1997."
    Mack Brown Through the Years

    Mack's first three years at Texas, 9-3, 9-5, 9-3.
Sark could still hit that mark.
Then again, Mack inherited Ricky and an offensive line.
Again, we've had 4 coaches in 9 years counting Mack.
Nothing will change until we give somebody time.

it's a simple truth that even one of the greatest coaches of all time was .500 his first year. it's an unavoidable reality.

nonsense is not wanting to look at truth.

i do think Sark needs to figure out the 2nd half troubles. player psyches, player conditioning, adjustments, depth charts... he needs to improve something.

I'd start by not panicking when it was clear herman wasn't the answer. Why make a **** hire immediately when the right coach wasn't available? We made the same mistake after dumping Charlie. "Let's get SOMEBODY in here, quick".

We treated the process like a 7-11 would in replacing a store clerk.

Wait till the right guy was available. Or.. To me, Aranda would have been a better hire. Lsu doesn't win the nc in 2019 without him

Again... NOTHING in sark's head coaching background suggests he's the guy to turn us around, let alone any program. He's failed twice at high profile programs. Mack OTOH turned around UNC

Sark has had 2 mulligans. It's sheer stupidity to think he was the best choice. Chances are far greater he hits the bottle again before he leads us to being a top 5 program again.

I'm not going to say he can't do it yet, but I've never understood why everyone got so excited about hiring him away from Alabama like suddenly Alabama's success would now happen here by association. You're right, he failed before but I'm hoping he learned from that. Year one is normally "a disaster" in the fans eyes and by year two you should see fundamental improvement. By the 3rd year that coach should be winning 9-10+ games considering the portal. With our culture problem he'll have to change that before any success will happen.

I clearly remember Bama fans whining about Saban his first couple years saying he was the wrong guy...again. Not one of them would admit saying that now.

Yet Mack Brown NEVER beat FSU and NEVER won in Charlotteville (UNC's biggest rival). Can you imagine Mack Brown lasting at Texas if he never beat OU and never won at Kyle Field?

His dismantling of A&M and NU probably helped keep him around long enough to get to 2005. Of course, I know you will not correct me if I'm wrong lol.

What HIC said above is true. I remember ou owning mack for the longest time. If it weren't for anm and Nebraska going downhill he would have been gone after 2003.

Would you have been more pleased with Mack's record here. Or with stoops success at ou if he had that record with us in Austin? Serious question
