This thread will get more traction in West Mall, which is what it is.

So I am too lazy to go seek this out on WM.

What was the nature of this disturbance close to the campus West Mall around 22 or 24th?

West Campus is more packed than ever and the last two years have left a lot of people bored, agitated, and frustrated.

College kids used to get drunk and screw when they felt that way.

Austin also is about 150 officers short after the city clown show shut down the academy and stopped hiring for almost a year. There's not enough to patrol the city effectively. I have an employee whose house was burglarized and the police said they would stop by when they could and they said it might be 2-3 weeks. Insane.

I don't know much about the incumbents in Austin City Government, but their lack of control of the city is despicable and they need to go. In the 70's when I was there, the cops would round up vagrants, drive them to the city limits, get them out and advise them to not come back. The campus police weren't very easy on them either. Too bad.
