I decided to go backwards through the roster and look at who left in the last few years and see if I could tell how they did. What I was reminded of how many players left after the end of KA's tenure, before Vic even had a chance to evaluate them. In other words, they left because they were unhappy with Texas. And then the 2018-2019 roster was the peak of KA's recruiting. I think that's where chasing stars and not chasing fit was the start of the slide for KA.

Use your long memory and think of a player that transferred into Texas that really gave the program a BIG lift. I'm biased, but I still consider Jamie Carey to be that one. Which is kinda sad to think it was that long ago.

Edna Campbell transferred from Maryland and was a great player at Texas also.

Racer, from my memory and thoughts, these are my opinion:

Precious transferred because she was a project who lacked the talent and ability to play at a championship contending level. There was no future for her at Texas.

Karisma transferred because of coaching change. When coach Vic talks about players fighting change, players unwilling to do the things he asks them to do, Karisma comes to mind. For this reason, she was limited as a role player. She did not fit Coach Vic's basketball.

Isabel transferred because of coaching change. She did not even stick around. Her style of play does not fit Coach Vic's high defensive pressure system.

Shae was a highly rated recruit until she suffered knee injury in high school. Like Precious, she looked like she did not belong at a championship contending program. She struggled mightily during wipe-out-games at the end of game when benches were emptied by both teams.

Rellah transferred because she and KA clashed with regards to basketball tactics. I remember Rellah would launch 3-pointers, KA would immediately pull her from the game. KA wanted a more structure play from Rellah, but Rellah was all freestyle.

Jordan was highly ranked coming out of high school, perhaps it's because she played at Manvel HS with Brianna Turner. But Jordan never panned out as highly ranked coming out of high school. I guess she transferred to get more playing time.

I agree Racer, Jamie Carey must be the most impactful transfer (Stanford) I can remember.

Another transfer that was impactful in recent memory was Audrey Ann Caron Goudreau from Vanderbilt Univ.

Great question, Precious is no longer listed on Auburn's roster.

Found Shae Routt. She transferred to Southeastern University, which is in Lakeland, FL.

The reason I didn't find her was I was consulting stats for NCAA. Her school is a NAIA school. Has played her junior and now-senior year there. Glad she ended up somewhere.

Credit goes to Raoul's extensive database on WBB.
