If Covid was really the problem, they would have quarantined the team immediately when found. There was/is plenty of time for recovery and negative tests before the game. But as we all know, this isn't really the issue. For a few years (can't quite remember the first time) we've watched players opt out of bowl games. Now we have a team opt out. atm can claim another first.
Once I heard Calzada was moving on this scenario crossed my mind. They use any excuse to what they feel will fit their cause. Just like using LHN as the excuse for leaving the Big 12 (they were going to leave to the sec regardless), or that the only reason we have dominated them for over a century is they weren't coed, blah blah blah. What a joke! They won a championship in 1939 well before we did, so that excuse is bogus. Even though they lean conservative they act like liberals where they make excuses and blame others for everything.
