Ironic. I hope Sam has just as much success though.

Nick got screwed on that deal too. He led them to a Super Bowl with MVP status and then had to return the following year as the backup.

He's one of those guys that, for whatever reason, is better coming off the bench.

Reich just said as of now Sam is the starter. He couldn't have been more positive, Sam has skills, IT factor and ready.
But Wenz could be out of protocol by Sunday.
I think the Colts should listen to Fauci and err on the extreme side of caution

    "listen to Fauci"
    Lol...just lol
What an evil douche of scumbaggery.
I agree Sam should start, but if Wentz did come back....Whats he gonna do? Sneeze on someone and give them a sore throat?? How terryfying. Worse yet....he might send them to the covid list due to a "positive test"... because, you know, gotta do that, right?

    Sorry, horn....
My comment is in reply to yours, but my tone and sentiment is not meant to be at you personally...really.
I just think we have moved into "delusionally insane" territory with some of this stuff...and I'd put Fauci near the top of that list IF I actually thought he wasnt completely calculated, sane, and evil.
That dude is like one of the villains in a Batman movie..but is actually a real person. If you are familiar with my posts at all you'll know I don't usually use such harsh language... but gotta be real...
He's a creep and a rat of the highest order and not to be trusted. Hang him up by his toes and tar and feather him.

This might be the only time I root for Fauci to do anything.

Figured you'd like my post, Moon. You know I like you, but Ive come to view you as someone who will defend anything and believe nothing.
I stand by my comments. Dont see what critical thinking has to do with good old fashioned sound reason, judgment, AND a lot of research...other than I don't think others paying attention to guys like Fauci and all the filthy rich power hungry cronies have applied much. Whats really sad is watching people trust untrustworthy people and knowing what that habit will mean for their lives in the future.
And I think your drive by comment is rude and condescending.
I'm making a comment about Fauci and you choose to attack me personally.
If you think that of me then you should say it I suppose...because I certainly would tell Fauci what I think if I ever had the chance. Yeah yeah, I know...you aren't allowed to call anything what it is anymore or you are some small minded meanie head. I remember a day and time when we all shared enough of a foundation for truth, thought, and sound reason that it was pretty easy to see when something or someone wasnt right and call it what it is. And now we argue about what "is" and some even claim there is no such thing.
I still like you but your comment was...unnecessary, inaccurate in its insinuation, and....something else I cant think of right now...lol

Well, I think your comment was also unnecessary and foul
But if I wanted to argue with the cult I would visit West Mall.
    And I never do.
As politicized as some have made this you might keep those comments on West Mall.
And your point of view has nothing to do with reason or research.
There will be no more comment on the subject from me.
    Have a good day.

Im sorry, horn. I was surprised you "said that".
And I will admit I am horrible at detecting sarcasm at times. Product of being an only child. People have to explain to me when they are joking lol.
I need to go to the School of HIC, I suppose.
    ....Sorry, man
    hand in face.
Still appreciate the opportunity to bash Fauci that punk...(I used critical thinking there, Moon...Let me check again....Yeah...Im sure of it...He's a punk....who's punkin the public)

Wasn't meant to be political, Moon. It shouldn't even be a political issue. Sorry if I offended you with either my original post or the latter...wasnt my intent at all. I very much disagree on the reason and research comment. My wife and I are very educated and do our own research..no cult types here and not beholden to anyone (political parties, etc.) but God.
I can see we are both passionate about this subject. Peace man

    So here’s the question:

Is it Kosher (I.e. legal) to comment on a post for which the poster could be reprimanded at any moment? In other words, if I express support or opposition to a position that by its nature could be banished, am I guilty by association? This is the conundrum I face at the moment.

But back to the subject, I would love to see Sam play and I actually believe that he would be as effective as Wentz, who feels like a pending turnover at any moment. Then again, there has been a rumor that Phillip Rivers might make an appearance. That would probably be a mistake. After all, this supposedly great QB (Rivers, who I don’t dislike) never won anything at San Diego that I can remember.

While this is true, not many QBs have a ring, much less an MVP trophy. Don’t know why the dude doesn’t get the respect, but he does have the goods.

    Alright, Creaky..I can respect that.
It wasn't my desire to upset anyone. I just care deeply (for people).
Anyway...We are kind of like family here, so please accept my apologies. I can see it is a sensitive issue.
Been hard to separate this from "on the field" of late...at every turn it seems.
Apologies again...to you and to Moon.
I will keep my thoughts on the subject more discreet/private.
And anyone named Creakyhorn is cool w me...whether we agree on everything or not.

On a positive note, like Colt, he’s been able to carve out a relatively long (by NFL standards), lucrative, and fairly injury-free career, albeit as a backup.

Bummer. I wanted to watch Sam.

I don’t think Wentz has ever lived up to the hype although he is talented. When I watch him it feels like a critical mistake is about to happen at any moment. I feel that way about Lamar Jackson as well.

It’s probably more useful to suggest that the person take that line of conversation to its appropriate forum, or drop it altogether in this one.

Amen to this - Not only this forum but just in life in general.

That said, I do like when we post about BBQ and/or other culinary journeys when posts get a bit off topic. I've literally said to my wife "Hornfans poster X said this is a great spot for brunch". She looked at me and shook her head...but it's brunch, so it worked out...and it turned out the recommendation was rock solid. I wish I remembered which one of you it was so I could give you the proper credit.

It sucks that Sam won't start tomorrow (to keep my reply football related). :smile1:
