A part of the coach preordaining the starting quarterback? The writer declared... That's what I was replying to
No, he was called racist by the same players who called the EOT racist. I presume he told the players they were out of their collective minds for a number of reasons. While the “poison” was on campus, it wasn’t a member of the coaching staff or players.
I doubt if Marion will be poison. I believe we will have a better coaching staff and better players next season. And we are not done yet.
He's never lived in Texas. He's never coached in Texas. I would prefer someone with relationships with Texas HS coaches, but this seems to be a done deal.
Bruce Feldman @BruceFeldmanCFB SOURCE: Pitt WR coach Brennan Marion has told his players that he’s accepted a job at Texas to become WRs coach/Pass Game Coordinator. Marion helped develop 2021 Biletnikoff Award winner Jordan Addision this year. @On3sports first reported that Marion was in discussions with UT. 10:56 PM · Dec 30, 2021
Does anyone know if the BMDs have offered a million dollars to Perkins yet? Sure would like to see him in burnt orange.
This is a really cool watch: Pitt Football | Coach Brennan Marion | Wired Up - YouTube This could be a great "get" all things considered.
I like we are getting the coaches we want, just like we are getting the players we wanted this year except for a few highly rated players.
Make Hue Jackson A Passing Game Coordinator "But what exactly is a passing game coordinator? It's not a common coaching position, though more and more teams have applied certain specialty coordinators. Like the running game, pass rush, etc... Nominally a passing game coordinator organizes the passing game from concepts, personnel, formations based on every conceivable situation. Most passing game coordinators are also position coaches, mostly at quarterback and wide receiver. Marion will help the offensive coordinator (in this case, Sark ) with the teaching of the passing game where Sark doesn't have to do everything like he did last year.
to me, I think it’s two fold, a lot of these job titles appear to be just manipulating the system to give someone a higher salary than just offensive line coach or whatever other position and coordinator tag they’ve been given and it helps grow them for a position in the future. If you’re wanting to show your faculty that you’re committed to helping them grow into other positions such as offensive coordinator then how would an offensive line coach really qualify for that position if all he’s ever been was an offensive lineman and offensive line coach? Do you really think he might have the experience to make an offensive playbook? More so than a person that played qb? Just my thoughts
It is. These "titles" are an excuse to give the coach more money. Same as when Muschamp was "HC is waiting". Everyone knew who the real next coach was going to be, but that title got Muschamp more money.
Harold perkins: and the winner is: A&M Crap and more crap Is this class for A&M the best #1 class of all time for any team? Maybe.
All you pants pissers remember: ...Aggy hasn't won a national championship since Hitler invaded Poland (1939 for the history challenged on here) ...Aggy hasn't won a conference championship since 1998 ...Aggy hasn't had a double-digit win season since Sumlin's 1st year (2012)...keep in mind, they only play 8 conference games per season and always schedule at least 1 FCS school)
I almost agree but they also got Wiegman, Stewart and couple other strong wrs plus #1 TE. Dewberry and others. Put them together. Yes perhaps the best all time. So i will enjoy it all the more when we beat them. But we did real well after going 5-7. Now if we were to go something like 9-3, 10-2, we can get even a better class next season. Then we can keep up with the jones's. We can be there next year, especially if we put out the money that A&M does.
Mack Brown was coach February until he beat USC. Recruiting matters and if aggy piles up a couple more of these the way Mack did they could be a real contender soon.
Let’s see what kinda coach Jimbo is and can he reload with quality staff as they seem to be moving on
He's already proven he can win it all with good players. Is he one of the best? Not yet. Its going to be a good head to head battle when we meet them. Their defense will be top notch tough. We need to catch up. I think their BMDs really, really hate Texas and do not intend to play second fiddle to us again.
With someone else's players and a system of cheating set up for him long before he arrived. When Darrell retires, Jimbo will be scrambling, but they may break the bank to bring over Tech's new OC.
