I have enjoyed poking fun at Paul for years and on this forum. I regret those decisions after I read this. Paul Finebaum @finebaum Who is your favorite CFB player who never won a National Championship? Mine is Colt McCoy
I don't have a problem with Finebaum but 99% chance that's a fake twitter.account. 1% chance it's him being a smartass. No chance.it's true.
I don't do twitter or any other social media. I've watched his show since day one. He's got a bug.up his *** about longhorn fans claiming victory was assured if Colt hadn't been hurt. On several occasions over the years he's been dismissive of Colt's ability. If he wrote it it's not because it's true.
His attitude in general okay. I'm telling you Colt is not his favorite player by that or any other criteria.
Gotta be sarcasm in response to the belief widely held by the Texas fan base, myself included, that Texas wins that game if Colt doesnt get hurt.
Walking back to the tailgate after the game I had more than a handful of Tide fans tell me the same thing...
I believe to my core today and before he got hurt that Colt leads UT to victory.... the D had the blueprint to stop the Tide offense. Bama was absolutely on their heels leading up to Colt injury.
We were only down by 3 with under 5 minutes left with Gilbert under center. No doubt that if Colt didn't get hurt, Texas would have won the game.
I heard many Roll Tiders’ in men’s room at halftime loudly griping because they’d “paid a fortune for tickets to see this Colt guy and he gets hurt”. “we should sue to get our money back cause now we’ll never know”. Needless to say I kept my mouth shut, did my business, and left. At the time the comment pissed me off because it seemed they were blaming Colt fir getting hurt but later I found it amusing cause I know we would have beat the a**.
