Well, it appears that "entitled" is quite the trigger for folks. Perhaps obfuscated my main point. Kyndall was a scorer in high school and was probably not focused on defense. When kids come to play for Vic, they are required to play defense. Perhaps she felt like scoring was her thing and that she didn't need to focus on defense. Am open to other thoughts on why she's not playing.

Gaming experience is in fact better than none at all. Regardless of the opponent. Why else would they try and fill a game that was cancelled or postponed? I’m sure Vic would agree.

An additional scrimmage with all the players back. A chance to try to fix the problems with the Tech game against someone other than our own players. So yes.

I’m not sure why you are determined it’s an attitude problem (because that’s exactly what you keep saying). I’ll bet you anything Vic has seen improvement, but her injury was definitely a setback. Why don’t you stop with the projecting without knowing what you’re talking about?

It’s humorous how often humor doesn’t translate in a post.

Thank you for the enlightenment. Just so I'm clear, does this request to "stop projecting" apply to everyone on this forum, or just to the folks you happen to disagree with? Would be curious to know how many folks on this forum actually attend practices and/or consult with Vic.

My request is to stop trashing a freshman that you have ZERO information that points to an attitude problem. I hope that’s clear enough for you…

Dropped to #13. LSU at #12....Baylor at #14.

Four 2-loss teams ahead of Texas. Three 3+ loss teams ahead of us.

50% (five of ten) Big12 teams are ranked.

2-loss KSU disrespected at #25? Lost to #1 SC and #5 NC St. Beat Baylor, OK St, and Oregon.

LSU better than expected. She's a good coach. KSU not getting respect - they'll be pissed when we play them. I'm ok with us being in the teens. If I recall correctly, we went through some challenges in January last year and Vic said that it might be February before they get it. We have a bunch of new kids...

Baylor twice in three days. I’m not afraid of the competition back to back like that but the big 12 has to be better

I agree but considering all circumstances they're probably doing the best they can to get games rescheduled. When I first heard of this rescheduled game against Baylor, I immediately went to the schedule to see what games were around that date. It then dawned on me not to bother because the remaining schedule is liable to change and perhaps more than once. COVID is messing up a lot of schedules (not just in regards to sports either) but I'm glad that there is still a season and players, coaches, and fans are being protected as much as possible.

It appears that our fans are protecting themselves by staying home. Students will be back so hopefully somewhat better attendance.

Can't say that I blame anyone for staying home.

    So we play:
    Feb 4 At Baylor
    Feb 6 Baylor at home
    Feb 9 at Tech
That’s a meat grinder. Hope the team has some gas left for Tech. I believe we have some unfinished business out there!

A good number of fans were in attendance at FEC last night for the men's game against OU. It looked like most were not wearing masks...

At the women’s game Sunday, most wore masks. Besides which, there was plenty of room for social distance. We sat alone on a row with no one directly in front of or behind us. I suspect Covid and the sudden schedule change affected attendance.

Attendance at the boys game was 13,144. If the girls could only get half of that!! We have to do better!

The fans for the women's team definitely trend older and are probably a bit more cautious regarding the pandemic.
Lowell Galindo commented on the LHN broadcast last night that the crowd in attendance seemed to be overall younger and I suspect he was correct.
Winning and the new arena should help the WBB attendance especially if we can ever get over the worst of the pandemic (hopefully)…or at least match volleyball attendance (I’d be happy with that right now)

I'm glad about this and also his talking about her on his Game Plan show. Hopefully, whatever has been holding Kyndall back will be resolved shortly.

I agree we definitely need to be better. No reason we are ranked #9 in the country and you look at our game against Tech and the arena looks like the doors just opened with an hour before tipoff. Our home competition level also has to do with it. When we play the likes of Baylor, Iowa state, Oklahoma, and possibly Kansas state I expect a much bigger crowd then what we’ve been seeing.

Does anyone know (remember?) what kind of crowds were in attendance back in the '80s? Is poor attendance relatively recent, or chronic?

Attendance was great in the 80’s. I remember before getting season tickets, I sometimes had to sit in the upper deck. But when we lost our mojo in the 90’s except for the final four year, attendance dwindled off. It has been really bad the past few years. Part of the problem is the aging of the fans, without replacing them with new younger fans. And covid is definitely messing with attendance now. In my opinion, there should be no fans right now with Omnicron. It is hella contagious.
