If he truly IS a government asset it won't matter. Merrick Garland has worked these kind of operations before. They will obfuscate and cover it up. Maybe there could be a limited hangout if watchdog groups uncover enough facts, but I remain skeptical.

I thought it was common knowledge - the dude in your political group who wants to commit violence is always the FBI informant. That was the case back in the 60's, and hasn't changed since then. The difference is that now if the violence is on behalf of the left the FBI helps out, and then doesn't arrest anyone.
