I'd put him in. Too many other cheaters getting past the morality gate. I'd also put in Bonds, Schilling, Sosa, and Pettitte.

He tried to play it off but I know he has to be pissed about not getting in. I find it hypocritical that he and a couple others get black balled while others are getting in just because of a test. Especially during a time you absolutely know the majority of players were juicing it up.

Generally my philosophy is to not award cheaters but with Clemens I have to admit I am a bit of a hypocrite. He did enough early in his career when he was absolutely clean and had clearly non-juiced numbers from early in his career that would be enough to get in to the HOF just on those first 15 years and I think he is the one taking the hit so guys like Ortiz who also juiced can get in but everyone feels good about not letting in cheats. Now Bonds is a different story his numbers are so messed up from late in his career that I cant say he would have gotten into the HOF based on his non-juiced numbers. So, like I said bit of a hypocrite on this issue here.

I personally don't care. Practically everyone takes some type of performance enhancers whether legal or illegal. They're just better at masking it these days because it evolves faster than the tests.

    Just my opinion.

As a life-long Red Sox fan I am ecstatic Ortiz is in, and am admittedly biased (and unfair given the supposed facts) beyond that because I don't care otherwise. I agree with FW that performance and stats from the early days could and should make a difference meaning Clemens should get in, especially since those years were in a Red Sox uniform. The others, meh...

You condemn one of the greatest of all time predicated on the "testimony" of perhaps the dumbest guy ever to play the game? Horse ****. A bad attorney, much less a good attorney or even a government attorney could twist things and have Andy Petitte to agree he hates his mother.

We all know people that did juice (giant to midget within a year of leaving the league). It was never questioned.

The actions of the voters, none of whom have real evidence or information, greatly cheapens the induction of other deserving players.

Thank you, Wayne Graham, for giving us one of the greatest ever to wear The Burnt Orange.
