Yep, another tourney quality game. We need more of them to be ready.

Vol Horn 4 Life Good Bye To All The Rest!

I hate getting old"er". I fell asleep with about 7 min left in the first half. Then God woke me up with 2.3 seconds left saying "see what you missed dummy?". Then we won.

What I saw was impressive on offense then the defense was stout where it was needed to change momentum. The commentary at the end was all about a great battle in the second half. Wish I would have seen it. :smile1:

Great win horns! Seems this team might be peaking toward tourney time like other Beard teams have done. :hookem2:

I heard several comments on the Erwin Center being louder than ever before. Chris Beard has finally created a home court advantage for Texas.

    That is huge.

Ramey played outstanding defense last night! On the critical Kansas possession in the last minute, his defense against Agbaji keep the ball out of his hands that led to the critical Kansas turnover!

Read an article this morning where Kansas felt like they gave this one away. Really?
A four point lead with over a minute left is nothing.
Texas punched them in the mouth all night long.
    And they punched back.
It was a tough, hard fought game.
I don't think either team had more than a seven point lead at any time during the game.
Horns punched harder at the end and get the win.
    Helluva win.

I don't think Bishop is getting enough credit - he was a beast in the 2nd half.

Even with Mitchells 3 pointer, I wish he would stay focued on his post game. He did alot of damage down there and hit 7-8 free throws. Seems every 3 point attemp was not even close, even the last one. I was yelling NO but he made a big one. He is forgiven

    Big time contributer!!

This^^^ is a great point. I would bet that Beard points this out both in the locker room after the game and in his post game press conference. Ramey was on Agbaji like a cat on a mouse the entire night, holding him to half his normal total.
Without Ramey's tight D on KU's star player, we don't win the game.

Looked like brass knucks and blackjacks were legal tonight. Refs let them play. Probably won't have those kinds of refs in Waco. Horns will foul out by half.

That's certainly a big issue in the B12, it's like a box of chocolates and you haven't figured out how to play until the 2nd half. Sometimes that's too late.

Ya know, I was just joking when I said we should get Bill Lambeer to consult with our big men on playing tougher down low and using a bag of (dirty) low post tricks (standing on the opponents foot before the rebound, kneeing/dead legging him, yanking shirts, etc—things that helped him get Detroit to the finals). We were getting pushed around by Tech down low. We need more physicality and less finesse down low. I guess we took it to another level with our physical play last night.

Add 45 minutes of weight training per day and a pound of meat per meal for our big men.

Gon, the Horns have shot more FTs than their opponents in most B12 games so far. Brock C is the only Horn player that has fouled out this season. And that was only one time. I don’t think we’ll have any more foul problems than BU.
Beard’s rotation provides some protection from foul trouble. :hookem2:

My wife is also a Texas Ex ( we didn’t know each other during school) but we’ve been married for 30 years and she says “take me to the @Baylor game for Valentines Day!”

I’m like, ummm that is exactly why I married you! Waco here we come!

I think the fine is BS. I get that the security wasn’t prepared for the home court energy that’s being generated this season. Austin hasn’t seen energy like this for UT bb in years.
When I saw it on tv I was really happy for
    the players and the fans.
Then I saw the crowd around our players and got concerned about covid19.
So far no problems have been reported and I hope none crop up.

I wonder if Arkansas and SMU, whose fans just also recently stormed the court, will face a similar fine. Me thinks not.
