Frisco Memorial took down Amarillo tonight by 11. Amarillo has all those championships and FM is only in their fourth year….opened in 2018. Frisco opens up a new high school about every 2 or 3 years due to huge population growth. It should be a good game…..Frisco Memorial vs Cedar Park.
Frisco has eleven high schools. I can’t keep ‘em all straight. I have 3 grandkids in 2/5/7 grades in Frisco ISD but not really sure which high school they end up attending. They all will play high school volleyball, soccer and basketball so am with interest watching what Frisco schools succeed in which sports. It’s heartening to see a four year girls program (Frisco Memorial) playing for a state championship. If you detect a bias for the school model of more schools to give more kids opportunities to play…..versus the one high school per town model…..you’re correct. I don’t like the Allen, Duncanville, and other humongous schools model. So I guess I have to root for Memorial on Saturday. Or root for CP cause Maul might be a Horn.
Wow Big surprise. Hardin-Jefferson beats Argyle and their 37-0 record 49-42. Ashlon Jackson had 26 of HJ’s 49 points. Duke is getting a stud. She may well be the best player in the State this year.
DeSoto won by 9. South Grand Prairie by 24. Should be a good game tomorrow night. I’m surprised Sumner Creek game was so lopsided.
Well I missed it. I thought it was at 7 pm. The 7 pm game is 4-A. So I missed a humdinger. And guess Maul showed up. For anyone who watched, give us a scouting report.
I couldn't get Bally Sports, but kept up with Twitter during the game. Frisco Memorial's star player fouled out with a minute or so to go in the game.
Brownsboro 4-A champs. 50-49. Hectic, frantic game ….especially 4th quester. Ashlyn Jackson had a good game but didn’t get a lot of support. She’ll do fine at Duke but will need some time.
Several states that weren’t using them have started this year - unfortunately Texas wasn’t one of them despite substantial support from high school (and college) coaches.
