UPenn walks into College Station and wins two out of three!

UPenn has 11 baseball wins since the 2020 season:
    La Salle (5)
    Florida International (2)
    Kennesaw State (1)
    Delaware (1)
    Texas A&M (2)

Yeah, aggy baseball doesnt appear to be in a very good place right now. Childress drove that program into the ditch and whoever he had polaroids of was able to keep him employed long past when they should have let him go. That said Schlossnagle is a good coach and with the facilities they have built aggy will come back and about the time Texas gets into the SEC they will be a fun extremely competitive weekend for baseball. I am truly looking forward to real annual weekend series with them and not the single game, middle of March, mid-week, with number four pitchers, games we currently have against aggy.

Technically no; but all Ivy League schools have a version of the Nebraska County Scholarships. They do provide financial need grants.

Majority of Ivy League students get financial need grants whether they play sports or not. Only the blue bloods pay full price.

This season and next will be write-offs for the ags. By the third season, they will be in the mix in the $EC.

They'll be in the mix for the bottom 3-4 teams in that Eastern conference. They're irrelevant. The top Texas kids who don't go pro, look at us, Tech, Baylor, UH, TCU, DBU, LSU, OSU, Ark., etc. And who from California or Florida would want to spend their college years in Bryan/College Station? Recruiting kids to Bryan/College Station ain't like recruiting them to Ft Worth or Austin (or Houston, or Dallas).

Their only saving grace would be if one of their billionaires (or close to it) is a real big college baseball fan and they really ramp up their baseball NIL. Big NIL $$$ would be a game changer for a program located anywhere.

If true, we'll have a lot of fun talking about aggy baseball this year and next.

If false, we'll have a lot of fun talking about aggy baseball for several years.

Writing off aggy baseball long term is not realistic. For all the cult like craziness down there turning most normal people off, there are some who buy into it and love it (God only knows why), and admittedly Blue Bell is a beautiful park, and they have some pretty awesome facilities that only recently Texas caught up too (and I think passed for baseball). With the right coach, and who knows maybe Schlossnagle is that guy, aggy can be a player in college baseball. There will be some fun competitive weekend series in the future with those knuckleheads and I suspect sooner rather than later.

They can dream in their barns, that someday…someday, with a lot of luck, just maybe they might be competitive with Texas State …

Remember it was just a few years ago that aggy was making fun of the Clemens kids on the team the year they went to the CWS (2018). Now texags are pointing to Texas as an example how quickly the aggy baseball team under their new coach can win again.

The top arms (who don't go pro right out of HS) want to come here. And for plenty of very good reasons.

And the ones that aren't quite good enough for Austin, may choose between living 4 years in San Marcos, Fort Worth, or Bryan/College Station. Hmmmmmmm. Tough choice there.......
