Utah reminds me of Iowa State. Hope the results are similar.

When she was fouled just before end of the third quarter, she got up and flexed/fiddled with her knee. Had a bit of a hitch in her gitalong and then came out early in the fourth.

    Harmon had a double double.
    AMo had a double double.
    9 players scored.
Seniors combined for 25 with Ebo only playing 17 mins and JAT less than 30.
    Bench combined for 30.
Shot 43% and held Fairfield to 35%.

The team looked off to me while watching live in person, but then not so much when rewatching later at home. Honestly, free throws were the only thing off. Not our best game but far from our worst IMO.

Moore is finally the player we needed her to be. She is going to be really special if she stays healthy.

Some have already pointed out but when I watched I also was like we seemed a lil stale. I then went to the box score and realized yes things we could clean up but but it wasn’t that bad. Vic is starting to seem like a prophet because these freshman all four of contributed to that win. We were led by 2 freshman yesterday. Lattamore had good mins and even Hunter came in a seemed focused and ready. I been on the Hunter train from jump from watching her in HS I sure hope she stick around and grow cause I still feel like she is the jewel of the class. Not taking anything from the others cause this class as a whole will be great.

I realize fans' expectations have risen based on our 12 game winning streak. But, only a handful of those games have been "complete" victories where we did just about everything (important) right. That's not the norm for this team, and it hasn't been all season. I'd rather have the team play a game like they did last night where they didn't play their best, but did plenty to enough to win, so that they realize there were problem areas to fix. And, they sure seem to realize that they didn't play their best and have to play better on Sunday; that's the correct mindset.

Had last night's win been a 40-point blowout, what does that really do for them come Sunday's game? It could make some of the players think that this is going to be easy; it could make some overconfident and believe they don't have to give 100% effort and focus. I'm hoping last night's "incomplete" game provides enough incentive for them to improve in every area come Sunday's game.

Most were burnt orange. Arkansas had a poor turnout considering proximity. The other two teams had a long haul from Utah and Connecticut. Not to mention hotel rooms at a premium with SXSW. Personally it felt like a bigger crowd to me.

Talking about attendance, team support, etc. I’m wondering why there is no pep band at the games or at least I have not seen or heard them. Are they there? If not, why not? I noticed the Baylor pep band was at the tournament in KC and were shown by tv several times during the game.

It sure felt like a larger crowd to me too! They were dispersed well it seems but energy and noise wise I thought it was a great crowd for Texas. Honestly with the time and it being a Friday competing with home baseball and softball games I was a bit concerned. But I didn’t find it disappointing.

I expect to see a large crowd for the FINAL Texas Longhorns sporting event in the FEC.

Kansas State had a nice win over Washington State 50-40. KS could not hit a shot and was behind 24-17 at the half. They turned it around and held WS to 16 points in the second half and began to get the ball to Ayoka Lee and hit some three’s. I like K-State, they are feisty and fun to watch. The Big 12 is definitely representing themselves very well. If the land thieves win tonight the Big 12 will have made a clean sweep of the first round.

The Big 12 is looking good. Looking at the brackets, I think the Committee basically gave UConn a walk into the Final Four. I haven't seen NC State. They might be a worthy foe. I agree with Muffet McGraw and Dawn Staley that there is a bias toward UConn year in year out, especially in the media, even though there have been 4 champions since them. If they get back there this year, it will just perpetuate the UConn bias. Not to say they aren't a good team, of course. Princeton looking really good, ahead of Kentucky the whole first half.

Both Texas and Fairfield had pep bands. Fairfield’s was tiny and terrible.

Their cheer squad was like a 3A high school but I couldn’t help pulling for them.

Thanks. I did go back and watch some of the game and caught the first strains of Texas Fight as they went to a commercial so realized the band was there. I’m assuming they are not allowed to play other than during time outs and the tv folks are gonna get in those commercials.

He can't be at both places at once. Maybe he's more confident the women will advance further than the men and can attend the women's games(s) next weekend. I have no idea for certain as to his reasoning; but, those are his tough decisions to make.

I was rooting for Jackson State, but I have to admit that (assuming we get past Utah), it will be a bigger game against her.
