I realize fans' expectations have risen based on our 12 game winning streak. But, only a handful of those games have been "complete" victories where we did just about everything (important) right. That's not the norm for this team, and it hasn't been all season. I'd rather have the team play a game like they did last night where they didn't play their best, but did plenty to enough to win, so that they realize there were problem areas to fix. And, they sure seem to realize that they didn't play their best and have to play better on Sunday; that's the correct mindset.
Had last night's win been a 40-point blowout, what does that really do for them come Sunday's game? It could make some of the players think that this is going to be easy; it could make some overconfident and believe they don't have to give 100% effort and focus. I'm hoping last night's "incomplete" game provides enough incentive for them to improve in every area come Sunday's game.
