If you look at all the top teams, they have threats offensively at every position. We did not. That is going to change this year.

I agree that it needs to change. But, I also recall Vic last pre-season beaming about how much offensive firepower his squad had. Unfortunately, it didn't really show consistently during the season.

The potential was there, but injuries etc derailed it a bit. Other than Matharu, we simply did not have enough consistent 3 point shooters to really spread the floor. I think that will change this year. Rori really started shooting the 3 ball well at the end of the year. Morris would really help us…[/QUOTE]

Devin Richardson is a linebacker on football team. I’m guessing that is who the OP means. Or not.

Kevin is not Devin….so my guess was wrong.

From his webpage, he helps athletes build their digital brand and marketing. Hopefully he also assists with the the graphics for commitment announcements.;)

Here’s a short highlight video of Morris from December 2020. It provides a great visual of Sonya’s style of play and the different ways she can score.

This video is from January 2022. DePaul is in the dark jerseys. Morris runs the court well so she should do well in our transition offense.

Kevin is with the social media team. He implements most of the graphics and picture setups you see. So all those recruiting pictures you see from football and basketball he puts those together.

In some of the clips of her I watched on YouTube she was posting up against opponents' guards/wings. I'd say she would be a super fit for us out on the wing as a hybrid 3/2.

Someone tell Sonya our core of players just dusted UNC at the 3x3 nationals. Come on in here to Austin and let's get that B12 championship with another deep run into March Madness!

Very un-kewl to post information like this. We don't need to know all things about everybody. Some things should be off limits.

Their respective tiktok posts about each other have been viewed more than 700,000 times if you add them all up. That tells me they are really proud of each other, people are happy for them, and I am happy for them - especially for Rori, who is the reason I started to watch this team in the first place. My post wasn't about a relationship. It was about a great grad-transfer player from another school who appeared to be spending quite a bit of time in Austin, and whether or not there was a possibility she could fill a need if there was mutual interest with the program. I didn't realize my post could be viewed as offensive. If my posting the face of our programs' tiktok video (in which she plays a kids' shooting game) was offensive, I apologize.

What’s wrong with what they posted??? It was a fair post and nothing about it was inappropriate in my opinion.

With all due respect how dare you stigmatize this. You are out of line in my opinion. These young ladies have made it public on social media and good for them but you somehow feel it’s ok to denigrate them. Please educate yourself its 2022

Just wondering why you find it so un-kewl? So glad these kids today can be open and honest about their feelings and not have to hide anymore. Would you feel the same way if it were a heterosexual relationship? This is 2022 and I can promise you we aren’t going back to those archaic times of denying our feelings and pretending out of fear…..

I didn't play the video originally. And all "this" popped off. And everyone seems to want to dance around the subject.

A few months ago, I was saying something about Rori dating someone and my 19 year daughter said, "Uhhh, no. She's dating a girl on the Oregon team"

How did she know that? Watching Rori's tik-tok of course. So wait, some player on the Oregon team spending a lot of time in Austin with Rori? It's her girlfriend coming to visit her boo.

I always think about what Baylor told Griner, "Now why do you want the people out on the street to know your business?" In trying to suppress her sexual orientation that would be an embarrassment to a fine Christian university.

Many years later, in interviews, Griner said, "Well yeah, everyone in Houston knew I was gay"

And might I add that this type of attitude is more prevalent at Baylor…. They want gay women to play so they can win, but hide who they are. I hate to break the news to you, but a BIG percentage of females in sports are gay. Jody Conradt addressed this subject head on WAY back in the day when asked about the bigoted anti gay comments made by Renee Portland at Penn State. UT prides itself on diversity and inclusion, unlike the Baptists up the road, so no it’s NOT un-kewl in any way!

Yea can we get back to guessing and hoping for transfers cause discussing some sexual orientation is cringe and it’s giving........ side eye if you worried her personal and sexual orientation life. Go on somewhere else with that mess once again some of yal re read your comments b4 you post and ask yourself???? It’s the underlying hate that’s killing me like you cool if we winning. Please don’t give off the shut and dribble vibe.

Hey I hope we all grown here. I didn't like the post. I want to respect these athletes lives outside of sports. I come here to talk about sports, not a players personal life. And I won't even begin to address some of the BS responses some of you have made this about. I will now move on.
