I know there is a lot of discussion about it on the Worthy thread but man the landscape of college football has changed. In some cases, players are going to stay in college because they will make more here than in the NFL. This NIL deal is in addition to deals already cut with C4, Raising Canes and Kendra Scott. Texas football star Bijan Robinson strikes NIL deal with local Lamborghini dealership
Yeah I'm sure now that Bijan is involved their sales will skyrocket. They.start out at a paltry 208k. Hell I got that on me.
NR, Sorry, but the last thing the Italians built right was Sophia Loren, and that was over 80 years ago.
Me too. How much do you think they will give me in trade for my 2001 Chevy 1500? It has a V8 and tow package.
With Ford going to 4 cylinder turbo and electric on F150s, that Chevy may be worth more than the Lamborghini
I've been told I could get a LOT of money for it these days. Compared to what I could have gotten 3 or 4 years ago at least.
How kewl would it be for Bijan to have a Lamborghini patch on his jersey or helmet? Right next to his Raising Cane's patch? This is going to be so kewl! And I thought the Taco Bell gong was stupid...
Post-game interview: "Yeah, we played really hard as team and overcame some adversity in the second half so I just wanna give a big shout out to my lord and savior and also the chicken place and Austin Lambo, now accepting quality trade-ins of comparable performance autos so get in a sweet Austin Lambo today! Hook 'em!
Man . . . the way this NIL stuff is going, college players drafted to play in the NFL will be taking a pay cut.
Ewers gets Aston Martin. As C.J. Stroud gets a Bentley, former Ohio State QB Quinn Ewer got an Aston Martin
WOW! I'm old. Eric Dickerson was bought for a cheapass TransAm. 38 SMU players had Z cars from Warren Bankston. Then there was Barry going to war with Bosworth telling him to drive the Corvette around Norman and leave the Jag convertible in the damn garage.
The one advantage of the NIL is that maybe kids stay 4 years….. and maybe somehow this helps kids stay on the same team… maybe.
Well, I hope that works. Depends on how they write the contracts. If the players aren't locked in for all four years (or five if they have a redshirt year), then we might see more guys jumping to other programs more frequently to pick up another boat load of NIL cash.
