OU beat Tech, so Tech is playing an elimination game vs. KSU.

Meanwhile, TCU will play an elimination game vs. OSU.

 

Didn’t Daly have some issues at 2nd.

 

I just remember his late game fielding that really helped us put it away.

 

My hopes for the TCU vs. Okla St elimination game:

A 15-14 win by either team in 15 innings...

 

Only 15 innings?

 

Good thing OU is not in our bracket. They have been hot lately.

Okla State beat TCU in the elimination game.

So we’ll get to go against The Pokes again tomorrow. (hopefully just once).

 

I would guess Morehouse will start but with a short leash. Tristan and Harrison are available to take over the game as needed.

Now if we lose the first game, then maybe we’ll start Blair and have DuPlantier as the first reliever out of the pen. Or something like that…

 

If we lose the first game, turn out the lights for the second game unless something has changed.

Pokes’ fan boards speculate that Trevor Martin will start for the Pokes tomorrow morning. After Martin, they’ll be trotting anyone with a heartbeat out to the mound in relief. So they’d better hope Martin can pitch deep into the game.

Martin brings a reasonably respectable 4.85 ERA to the mound.

Morehouse brings a 4.50 ERA to the mound (if we go with Morehouse).

Texas v OSU 9:00 a.m.
OU v KSU 12:30
Second games as needed at 4 and 7:30.

Does the quick exit from the Big XII Tournament cost TCU the chance to host a Regional?

 

In theory it shouldnt because they are the regular season champs. They should be first Big XII team to be a host........in theory. Their problem is that their RPI is not good, their out of conference schedule was not that strong and where it was strong they lost most of those games. I still think TCU gets a regional and that the Big XII gets two host slots with second one coming down to who wins today between Texas and Okie State. So Texas isnt guaranteed anything yet and really needs to go out this morning and make it an easy choice.

 

It would be absurd if TCU gets a regional and we didn’t. They didn’t get 40 wins (or even really that close to it) with a significantly weaker schedule. We beat them 3 times this year. They beat us once. We are ranked #11. They are around #40 or so. Our stats sheet is ridiculous. Theirs is pedestrian in comparison. They’ll probably be a #2 seed. The Big 12 Champion is whomever wins the tournament—probably us or even OU.
