    I see.

True, but now to really get Bubba's boilers bubbling, let's talk about about something really controversial to him. No, not how Trump is a top five president all-time or how great the current Supreme Court is. Let's bring up OU's illegitimate claims to the 1956 and 1974 football national championships. :)

1956 - OU 10-0 but no bowl game; only one ranked opponent. Tennessee 10-0 going into a bowl game; two ranked opponents including at #2. (Final polls done before bowl games.)
1974 - on probation so a ridiculous claim even if they had a 100-0 record.

That's for sure. Retroactive claims are far more egregious. I fully expect aggy to find at least two more to claim by 2025 so they can state they have more than Texas. I hope OU and Texas don't start claiming more, but somewhat expect it to be like Bama.

Back on topic, I'm curious what the courts will say regarding this Rabbi's claims.

Rabbi fighting Florida's anti-abortion law is on a mission to help religious groups challenge 'theocratic tyranny'

In a more serious manner, he was by far the worst color guy I've ever heard. Those Raycom duos with him and Frank Fallon (I think that's who he was teamed with) were just brutal.

    I understand
But it seems to me an abortion is an abortion.
Why should there be exempt methods of execution.

the most pragmatic reason.... because this zero tolerance approach will lose the GOP elections. A lot of them.

You can have your personal feelings on where to draw the line but the majority of America is somewhere in the grey area camp of limited, safe.
    - allow for rape, incest, medical safety of mother
    - allow up to 10 weeks only for other reasons

If the GOP, even a few states, start to go zero tolerance the GOP will lose in a big way. Are you ready to lose elections and lose on all the other agenda items just to have your way on abortion ??

    Not sure
Are you saying you think most Pubs want the abortion pill ok'd .

Btw I am not advocating either side but if people are pro life, anti abortion then aren't they against the act, not the method?

I do think they want it legal. My understanding is that medication is only given during the first 10 weeks. Most Americans and certainly most women want this option.

Very few are comfortable with the "anytime for any reason" approach to abortion and using abortion as a recurring birth control method, BUT even fewer are comfortable with the idea that a woman can be required to continue a pregnancy from rape/incest or in danger of the mother. And most want at least some leniency for accidental pregnancies. .

At the end of the day it may not be the optimum solution but we are in a democracy after all and what the other side wants should be considered. Particularly when the other side of this debate means that 85% don't agree with zero tolerance.

Come on. You can afford the child support.

In all seriousness though, if one believes that life begins at conception (which most pro-life activists do), how can they tolerate any form of post-fertilization birth control?

Threatening doctors prescribing a drug that's been legal for years? No thanks. That's just too extreme for me.

Mr D asks the correct question
But Now it is up to each state to chart their own course

    Garm sincere question.
If you are against abortion how can you then say you are ok with the "abortion pill"?

I do wish there were a way for the it to"safe Rare and legal
But we can see that for so many abortion is a form of birth control.

Because it's done in the privacy of one's house and with a doctor's supervision.

So it is using a medical facility with people other than a doctor that makes it wrong?
The outcome is the same, killing the fetus

I am truly not trying to be snarky. I am trying to understand. To me an abortion is an abortion just like one can't be a "little pregnant"

It's not a fetus at this stage. I'm more of a "heartbeat" person myself. I'm also a big believer in what you do in your own home is your own business.

Hearing that many urologists are reporting a surge in men wanting a vasectomy in the wake of Roe v Wade's overturn.

I am trying to follow the logic and morality (if any) of the men who come to such a decision.

Why would one do that? Are there really that many men who never want to have children? Are they maybe banking on vasectomy reversal being easily obtained if they change their minds? Are they thinking the local skanks are more likely to spread wide if they know the dude can't knock them up? Are they so stupid as to believe an abortion will be impossible to obtain?

Anybody here able to help with the motivation of these guys?

It's a human being with its own unique, never before seen, and never to be repeated set of DNA at the moment of conception.

You're either willing to kill it, or you're not.

You can rationalize why (it's not a "fetus" yet, etc), you can sloganeer (my body, my choice, but ummmm, that thing being removed wasn't YOUR body - it was its own entity), and to be perfectly honest, you can follow the law of the land and legally obtain an abortion if you want. But what you cannot do is avoid knowing that you had a part in killing another innocent and completely vulnerable human.

No, I am not intending to go after doctors and patients either.

All I am saying is, legal or not, one can't avoid knowing that the action lead to the death of an innocent human being. I fervently hope all people thinking about abortion, from providers to pregnant women and their families/boyfriends/babydaddys/spermdonors contemplate the reality of what they are about to do before making the decision one way or the other.
