Obviously, if Newsom was asked who was bullied by Desantis, he'd bring up trannies and gays. He wouldn't say he's bullying CEOs. I'm not saying he's right, but there'd be a pretty easy answer to that. Ultimately, Newsom is a massive douche, and the media is floating him as a replacement to replace Biden and Harris on the '24 ticket. I don't think he'd beat Desantis. (He would beat Trump.)
Bullying some young people is not taking up for individuals. He made a poor choice. That doesn't stand up for individuals. It was the Governor of the State of Florida in his official capacity of government power and representation mocking individuals.
He's not a big charmer. That is true. However, being less than charming is less of a liability than being smug and douchie if you're trying to win swing states. That's why Trump beat Hillary. And Desantis is a nicer guy than Trump was, and unlike Trump, he doesn't trip over his own dick every five minutes.
